Demonstration of how to use a cane up and down stairs with or without a railing. Upstairs with good leg and downstairs with affected leg. Use cane on opposite side when you have a railing.

Re descending, going down with the cane looks good and stable to me. Some experts though, seem to have you going down with cane and foot at the same time. I prefer your technique. The lady looks to be crouching a little though. If the cane is (safely) adjustable it may be an idea to lengthen it a little for descents.

Thanks for showing how to go up and down curb. My problem is my balance isn't great since I had total knee replacement 5 months the ago. A few weeks ago I twisted my surgical knee trying to step up on a curb because I lost my balance. Fortunately, I didn't fall. Part of my Physical therapy is balance. My surgeon was not happy with me. I realize balance has a lot to do with age as my surgeon told me. Again thanks.
