In this video, I will show you how to use another desktop or laptop PC as a wireless second monitor. Great for school and working from home! All of this is done with built in features with Windows 10. No downloads required.

You just SAVED my day! I was trying to connect my laptop to an old desktop which we haven't used in a long time. Only to find out that the manufacturer never finished the HDMI port, and we didn't know about it the entire time owning the computer. I was going to give up and wait until the day I could afford to buy a new monitor. Then I came across your tutorial! It worked right away! Just wated to add that I had been struggling for weeks not knowing how to setup the first necessary steps needed in Windows Settings. All videos I watched did not explain it like you did, only showed the Connet, Project, etc. but NOT the first crucial steps needed to make it work. Thanks Again for taking the time to help others and the GREAT VIDEO.

Thanks for the last section, was really wondering about the latency for things like conference calls and streams on a second device, and the lagginess would definitely be a problem there. I imagine it would also eat up some bandwidth since you're basically rebroadcasting to another device.

question. Will connecting it by bluetooth have the same effect as when clicking Windows+P and clicking wireless devices, it does not show up there, and resorted to bluetooth.

How do you get rid of the tool bar as when im playing games on my main monitor and I will sometimes unhide the tool bar and it completly tabs me out of them game it gets quite frustrating at times.

Wh I try to drag a app to the 2d it does not drag into it. I have to make it peek barely to the second and drag the rest on to the rest of the second. And btw why when I do extended I do not see anything on the second monitor on the task bar? Is there s fix or do I have to deal with it.

The clock and system monitors are done using a program called rainmeter ( Video on it here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/p7iio8mFvJzMe30.html ). For the icons I just right clicked on my desktop and sort and turn auto arrange in grid off then I moved the icons to the middle of the screen. Then I right clicked on my desktop again went to view and selected show large icons.

I think the answer is yes. You can buy the Microsoft 4k wireless display dongle (only HDMI), plug it into HDMI port of monitor or TV. And connect through the wireless display feature.

HI. This worked really well. But at end of day I shut down computer. Next day i had to reconnect again. Is there anyway you can leave it as a permanent connection rather than reconnect everyday. Thank you for your instructions. You dumb it down just nicely for me :)

After I connect to my TV and duplicate the screen, it disconnects the internet. Once I disconnect the internet comes right back. Happen to know how to fix this?

Should be possible. I know most AIO PC's have HDMI in ports to connect input devices and there should be a button to switch to your laptop's display.
