You can connect the DJI Mic to a GoPro. The DJI Mic 2 works the same way, and I connected the DJI Mic to the GoPro Hero 7 Black, but the DJI Mic works with the GoPro Hero 8, GoPro Hero 9, GoPro Hero 10 too!
You can use the GoPro Audio adapter with the DJI Mic, but you can also the GoPro Media Mod to connect the DJI Mic to a GoPro Hero 8, 9 and 10.

For this video I used the case to mount the mic receiver and the GoPro Audio adapter to the GoPro Hero 7 Black. The DJI Mic has magnets and a clip as options to mount the mic on your shirt. Thanks for watching!

Mine came out dual mono. It seems the GoPro only records dual mono, unless their specs have changed. You also need to check if you're using a TRS plug. The input for the GoPro Audio adapter and Meda Mod are TRS only.

If you want to connect the DJI Mic to a mixer, you can connect the receiver to the is using a 3.5mm TRS input (stereo). It does not have an XLR output. For GoPro, I wouldn't know since their output also includes video through its proprietary USB-C output port.

As long as you can connect a mic to it and it takes the audio signal, yes! The media mod is what most use with the latest GoPros.

Plug the 3.5mm cable from the receiver to the media mod, just like you would with any mic with the media mod.

I have used the same equipment as you do. gopro hero 7 black/adaptor/dji mic. My gopro is still using its mic to record voice instead of dji mic. Do I need to do any setting at my camera?

Your GoPro should detect the mic and the GoPro audio adapter. Make sure you’re using the 3.5mm cable to plug into the audio adapter. On the setup menu, look for Input. Check to make sure you have standard mic or Standard+. Hope this helps!

I have the Hero 7 Pro and got the Ulanzi case for it. It holds the audio adapter for the GoPro, and it has a cold show so you can add the DJI receiver. Check the links in the description.

Use the 3.5mm cable to connect the media mod to the DJI mic receiver. That’s how you’d connect other mics to the GoPro too.

I will be using that. The issue is attaching dji mic into go pro media mod won't fit. I suggest you to try cause it won't work for me. I purchase a adaptor, fits dji mic but won't fit on go pro media mod. The media mod has a different fitting.

If you have the GoPro Media Mod or the GoPro Audio Adapter, you can use any mic by plugging it into the 3.5mm input. That’s the only way with GoPro.

I don’t have the Insta Ace Pro, but if it has the 3.5 mm input port for external audio or allows for USB-C mics, you can. Otherwise, you might need an audio adapter to allow for audio input. Check your user manual. Thanks for watching!

If you have the DJI Mic 2 Transmitter, it will connect via Bluetooth to the DJI Osmo Action 4. That is the only model with Bluetooth mic enabled. If you have the DJI Mic and DJI Mic Receiver, this video shows how it works with GoPro models using their proprietary ways of connecting audio which is the GoPro Audio adapter or the GoPro Media Mod.

For the Hero 11, the Creator edition comes with the Media Mod which has the 3.5mm audio port. So you’d just plug the DJI Mic receiver’s 3.5mm cable into that! Thanks for watching!

Check your manual. The USB-C port is for charging only, no data nor audio access unless through a GoPro branded adapter. The GoPro Media Mod and GoPro Audio Adapters are the only way via the 3.5mm jack.

That's really unfortunate. Adding three more devices (Transmitter/Receiver/Mic Adapter) to a motorcycle helmet that already has 2 devices (GoPro 7 Black/Card Packtalk Black) just makes it impractical. @@TechTravelBeyond . Thinking my best option is to use the standalone transmitter and transfer the audio from it to the gopro video in post. Ugh. Thank you for the video!

The best results for using the mic is to hook it up using the 3.5 mm jack on the mic and patching in to your helmet mic so you can narrate as you ride. If you put it on like a normal lav mic, you may have issues with wind and vibrations from your bike, clothing etc. remember too, the mic receiver has to connect to your camera so it must be safely mounted.

You can hook an external battery to the USB-C and even remove the internal battery and film. While so, I don’t know if it will charge an internal battery while the GoPro is in use. Check your documentation or GoPro forums for more info.

I followed another guy instruction, saids unplug the adapter, turn off the quick caption then turn off the gopro, plug everything back then turn on, see if the audio input shows up? if not then take out the battery and try again, some people can but it still doesn’t work for me. SAD.

Yeah, the voiceover was inside, mic handheld. The test clip was outside on my back patio which is near a busy street with the mic clipped to my shirt. Back to the nearby park for other tests! 😉

With the media mod, you'd have to use the 3.5mm input jack. If you tried to plug into the USB-C, it won't work. That's only for charging on the media mod.
