So, if you simply use the mic in standard, non-Bluetooth that would be available. See the manual for more info about onboard recording.

If you have the DJI Mic 2 Transmitter, it will connect via Bluetooth to the DJI Osmo Action 4. That is the only model with Bluetooth mic enabled. If you have the DJI Mic and DJI Mic Receiver, this video shows how it works with GoPro models using their proprietary ways of connecting audio which is the GoPro Audio adapter or the GoPro Media Mod.

Yes, but not wirelessly directly to Pocket 2. You must connect the DJI Receiver to the 3.5mm Mic Input on the DoItAll Handle. If you don't have the DoItAll Handle, use a USB-C to 3.5mm TRS Adapter linked in the video description.

Yes! This teleprompter set up is used best with the ZV-1 at it's widest focal length, 24mm. Also, at 24mm, with enough light, you can use aperture of 1.8 to achieve a blurry background without having to activate that feature.

I found I have to slide the camera forward after I have the padcaster attached to it extends out past the adapter ring in order to keep it from picking up the inside of the box itself. That's if I want to use the Sony ZV-1 at 24mm focal length. Is this what you do? @@TechTravelBeyond

It depends. If you’re following someone or something, it’s easier to move your camera and follow. If you’re doing a scenic overview, the mechanical pan will do if you are in a small space like I was for the Disney shot. Try it out and see what works for you. I haven't used the Polarizing or ND filters in the water. I use the OEM/Factory lens when in water because that's what is recommended. If you want to use other lenses, get a waterproof housing just to be safe.

When you plug in an external mic, there are no other onboard mic options because they are disabled.

@@Greegio Unfortunately, no, See GoPro documentation and their online product catalog for more information. I’ve stopped using GoPro since I moved to the DJI Action. Their menus are more intuitive and easy to understand, and their latest Action 3, Action 4 and the latest Pocket 3 now work with the USB-C standards for audio input, so you don’t really need adapters anymore if your mic is USB-C compatible.

This is a misconception. The DJI Mics are not stereo. You can record in stereo by setting 2 mics in an array with a Left and Right designation where one mic records left channel, one mic records right channel. This is helpful if you’re using the mics for two different people in an interview situation, this way you can adjust sound levels as you record. In post production you can adjust their levels and duplicate each voice track into dual mono, or keep them on separate R/L channels if you want a stereo effect of where your talent is in the scene. If you’re using one DJI mic by itself, you set it to mono so it will put all audio into a dual mono track. Each mic transmitter has only one mic. If it was stereo, you’d see two mics in a Left/Right array like you would on stereo sound recorders. Read the documentation for more info.
