Watching this video you can really tell that this guy intimately knows his Karambit. Its beautiful to watch how confidently he deploys and reholsters his blade. By the way, some of these same principles may be applicable to any karambit. The important thing is to train!
Once you've checked legalities, consider ordering your very own PiKa Karambit by Bastinelli Knives here: funkermartialarts.com/shop/bas...

I just got the two Tactical karambit with the holder. I was wondering how to put the holder on the belt and how to take it out. I want it up in the front so I can take it out quickly. I whether not put it on the side or back because it slower and other items like the gun and jacket can get in the way. Thank you for that tutorial.

Grazie a TUTTI .

Was super duper excited to buy&receive, knife was awesome, out of the box extremely sharp, sheath was great..for 2 days, till it loosened up (from practicing draw strokes i assume) now the knife falls out when i bend over. Gonna have to return it. Knife is/was great but for the price (i payed 130) i expected waaaayyy better retention. Im now extremely disappointed

Possible that you need to hammer the sheath (which looks like rigid metal) to tighten up the inside slightly?Possibly just at the sheath collar where it sounds like there's supposed to be a click.

@DZNTZ
@DZNTZ 2 жыл бұрын
That’s like saying “my knife got dull, so now I’m returning it”. Retuning sheaths is part of knife life. Maintenance and care are part of tool ownership. Once the sheath breaks in, it’s going to need some adjustment regardless, that’s expected. With Kydex, the tight tolerances are good and bad - and usually they need some tuning at some point. (Leather is much more flexible and forgiving, but it holds moisture and isn’t good for long term storage) Because Kydex requires tweaking, many sheaths have a Chicago screw or two near the top that can be tightened down (or loosened), but sometimes you need to warm up the Kydex and fine tune. Skeletonized knives don’t have much to grab, so rigid sheaths can be finicky. Get out a heat gun, or even the wife’s hair dryer (a torch even), and get it good and pliable - then quickly press down on the blade area (maybe use a folded towel under a book, or semi-rigid foam or something to apply even pressure to the whole thing at once), give it a squeeze at the pinch point, and let it cool. Also, try to deploy the blade as shown - by rolling the wrist - instead of yanking up on it. That will be easier on the sheath and less likely to shave off Kydex, pry it apart, etc.

@christianackley7147
@christianackley7147 7 жыл бұрын
pahwraith have you ever carried a knife? cmon man use your brain.. A left handed user would have to attach the sheath on the opposite side of his body, and would therefore have to flip the sheath the other way around to have the knife be in a position to properly grip it. So for a lefty to be able to use this knife, the attachment sytem for the belt would need to be able to be swapped to the other side of the sheath. Thats why almost any good folding knive will have a pocket clip that can be swapped from one side to the other. Duh

This one costs even more at around $129. While we generally discourage knockoffs and cheapo blades we have no illusions that as a one time use defensive option, they might do just fine. Heck, your kitchen knife will do just fine. Like choosing a vehicle, one is restricted by many variables: cost, value, practicality etc. But if style, quality and design also matter to you, and if budgets allow, consider this blade. Different strokes for different folks. -GN

I'll probably get a pika or diagnostic too tho to have a karambit version in the same vein

@Prince Wojak It doesn't show them putting it in the pocket it shows them putting it on the waistline or belt the waistline is better I carried on my waistline not in my pocket so I can draw at a reverse grip It works fine it's just a hard clip that holds to the gym pants better I have thicker ones and thinner ones And I have more than one knife I'm a collector I like to pick knives too

Look at how a karambit is made and the sharpening. He hand makes all his knives they aren't produced in a factory.

@@Zawfee lol that is definitely not true. He hand makes his prototypes but all his knives that are for sale are produced in Italy by Fox Knives at their factory.

Knife? pistol? knife? pistol? knife? pistol?, mmmmm I will use my pistol first in a "gun fight" run out of ammo (if i am still standing) then out comes the knife, a 30$ Kershaw 1990, Knifes are cool tools, very useful for many tasks, but in a deadly force event give me the biggest hammer in the tool box. I understand in many places carrying a firearm is forbidden, but then the politicians who make these laws have "armed" bodyguards and could care less about little people like you and me. An armed society is a free society and a criminals worse nightmare.

JakubH when he said "the biggest hammer in the toolbox" I'm going to assume he meant the proverbial toolbox filled with tools for self defense. Ala handgun knife martial arts and such. that's the way I read it.

JakubH also I wouldn't take a karambit to a hammer fight either he had an extra foot and a half of reach. human being can only move so fast and I don't think you can close the gap to strike at the body before he can bring the hammer back around. and I don't think you can swing your arm fast enough to catch his arm after you dodge the hammer. that's just me thinking out loud here though.

JakubH you dumb fuck, "tool box" is a reference to the tools in ones arsenal ie. pistol, knife, sock full of soap bars what ever, not a fucking hammer as in a estwing 20oz claw.

Not Telling that's kinda funny that you think all karambit wielders are idiots (says something about you) also considering most knives are self defense tools I would assume most criminals are already within that distance lol you act like someone with a knife is going to brandish it and charge you lol.
