Great job. A huge help showing the images of parts that you’re referring to when instructing how to use it. A lot of guys making vids don’t do that and it can get pretty confusing

Excellent video, i have airless sprayed my house before just after 15 years i forgot a lot, so i cleaned up my equipment thank god i put it away correctly, not bad cleaning it. Watched your video, I am ready to paint the interior of the house.Thanks again .

Great question. You probably have one of Graco's Tradeworks line, which they describe as being for homeowners, handymen, and others who won't be spraying day-in day-out. Those sprayers are designed to not require throat seal. Other companies might also make homeowner lines that don't require throat seal, but as far as I'm aware, all professional-grade sprayers still require throat seal. (I double-checked with the paint store.) Thanks for asking and helping to clear this up. Enjoy that sprayer!

I paint houses for a living and as an 18 year old girl just now coming into the business I appreciate that I could watch this video and understand it. Even without knowing how to use a sprayer. Because I've only ever used a roller and a paintbrush but it's taking too long to paint houses so I needed to learn this. Many thhanks. And I'm buying your book😁

That's lot of paint! You're right that a 3-foot wand can reduce the work by quite a bit when spraying massive square footage. For interior residential spraying, an 18-inch tip extension can also be very handy when dealing with 9-foot ceilings and vaulted ceilings, etc., so you don't have to drag a step ladder along. Sorry my big question is, is it ok if the skinny( I think it's the prime tube( the skinny one, is it ok that it was in the paint bucket with the suction tube, they both were buried in the paint bucket, please tell me that won't mess up the sprayer?

It is a Titan sprayer I've had for many years. Still works great because I treat it well. The basic components--suction tube, return (prime) tube, pressure knob, gun and tip, etc., are pretty much the same on all sprayers, although they sometimes look different on newer ones. I've used plenty of Graco sprayers over the years and they work great too. Thanks for writing!

I came upon this video by accident. I cannot comment on its accuracy, but I will say it was very well done! I am not easily impressed with instructional material of any sort. Experts seem to skip steps, probably due to their experience. You really took us through this step by step. I feel I can actually follow this, if need be, without feeling frustration from a confusing or incomplete instruction. Whatever you're doing, keep doing it. Good job!

Hi--you are correct that it's possible to use a sprayer without using the prime valve, but for the purposes of the video I wanted to show people unfamiliar with paint sprayers the manufacturer-recommend way of doing it. Thanks for commenting and good luck with your painting!

Thank you! Absolute beginner here and I’ve never used a sprayer before. Trying to get the kitchen cabinets painted while my husband is out of town and brush and roller are too slow. Hoping for the best tomorrow. It is Valspar cabinet paint, I guess it is an oil hybrid.

You could try priming it with an oil primer like KILZ before topcoating with latex paint. Latex primer might work (that's what I use after removing popcorn to "seal" the ceiling before re-texturing) but if there is extreme chalking or something, oil primer is a little more effective IMO.

Update 7/18/13: Some homeowner-grade airless sprayers these days no longer require using throat seal lubricant. See your owner's manual.

Great video. Quick question please help, I understand the hole video but do both of the lines from the airless go into the paint, it looked like u just attached the skinny line to the bigger one, so to me it looks like you just have the bigger of the 2 lines actually inside the bucket of the paint, I understand the skinny line is also connected to the bigger one inside the paint bucket. But it looks like only the bigger one is down inside the paint bucket, it looks like the skinny line isn't buried down into the paint with the bigger line? Are they both supposed to be down into the paint? Or just the big one? So I'm just confused, I thought both lines are suppose to go down into the paint? Is that right? Please help I'm painting in the morning, I appreciate it? You also ganied another subscriber!!👍 just please respond @howtopaintahouse!

Where do u add the seal at and are you supposed to add it during the day while you are spraying
