Thanks for the guide, I was looking for this information. Now that the God of War game is out on steam, could you please try the DualSense in this game? To see if the mapping of the buttons will change to that of PS and how well the DualSense works, since in non-exclusive PS games the buttons are Xbox ones but in exclusive Playstation games I don't know.

Ive seen more than 10 videos on how to connect the PS5 to steam, i have it connected to the pc and steam and it recognized it but when i try to play Alien vs Predator (2010) it wont work at all not even on the menu, only the PS button works

The connection between my PS5 controller and PC is terrible. Keeps dropping out and doing strange things. I've got the latest controller firmware installed, but it's still a terrible connection. Any ideas as to what the problem could be?

I just purchased Psychonauts 2 on Steam for my M1 Pro Mac but the game does not see my DualSense controller. On Steam desktop the controller works fine but when I launch the game with my controller the game itself does not see my controller. What do I need to do to enable my controller in the game?

So neither works. if I plug it into my PC it lights up orange for a second and then nothing. If I press the Bluetooth method it slowly flashes blue for a few seconds then stops and nothing comes up on device. Is my controller broken? It's new and has never been connected to anything.

Seems the latest steam version doesn't properly support the latest dual sense? Adjusting the slider for the LED does nothing for me. Also, using Bluetooth doesn't work in game but it works fine in big picture.

Hey, idk if you're still looking at comments on here, but I'm trying to play NASCAR Heat 5 on Steam with my PS5 controller and I can't even get through the start screen. On the start screen, it shows XBOX buttons as options, so I think it might just be XBOX. I am wondering if you have a proposal on how to get around this. Thanks!

I tried playing batman Arkham Knight on steam with a PS5 controller connected, it was working fine the 1st time I was playing it but now today the game isn't detecting the controller at all despite it being connected to my PC? And is there any way to change the button inputs? It gets confusing on games when prompt buttons show up as Xbox.

Thanks I've been trying to make it show ps mapping on steam when I play ghostwire tokyo to no avail. Apparently that's something I just need to live with. But I much rather have ps mapping than xbox mapping. Oh well. Great video. subscribed and liked.

What happened with latency when you connect 2 gamepads into one Bluetooth receiver? Does it work correctly or any issue? Do I need 2 BT receivers?

You should be able to connect more than one controller with one reciever.

Same wireless drops after 5 min or so wire works great also it try’s to play all game audio through the controller but I just disable that part in settings

I had the same issue with PS4 controllers using bluetooth on my PC. My laptop however l, keeps the connection. I'm thinking it may be some issue with the controller and the PCs bluetooth on the motherboard. I don't think the PC case causes interference, but there's some connectivity issue there. I recommend updating your bluetooth software and trying again, not that it will fix the issue, but worth a shot.

Same issue I face. It works when wired but doesn't work on Bluetooth. I have to enable steam input before it works with Bluetooth but that ends up changing the icons to xbox icons

It was working perfectly for a few hours then suddenly it stopped working while i was playing :( The bluetooth device works fine, the controller is detected, i tried using my airpods and it works too. But when i launch Steam, it disconnect the controller automatically... as if Steam doesn't want to recognize anymore all of a sudden. Anyone knows what could have possibly happened ?

Hi just watched your first video and this playing Destiny 2 on Steam can’t bring up the sparrow with the touchpad did you have any issues have you tried playing D2 by chance?

I haven't played it myself. But the controls are most likely set to the xbox controls by default. On Steam the touchpad only acts as select and start. From Googling sparrow should be summoned with the square button.

You might need to create a controller configuration for this to work. Open Steam big picture, find your game, then choose manage shortcut. The select controller configuration. Now map your keyboard to your controller. When done save the configuration and launch the game.

Game specific. Also, wireless tends to kill the special Dualsense features. Try it out with a usb cable.

Hello! I recently bought a ps5 controller without actually having the console, for playing games on my PC. The problem is that Steam and my computer don't even see the device ( I'm running on windows 11). Whenever i plug in the controller into the PC, there is no sound, no notification whatsoever, but the lights on the controller pop up. Do you know how i can solve this?

Try another USB cable or USB port. You can always use the controller with Bluetooth as it doesn't require a cable.

When I hook my controller to steam it detects it and lights up but then 30 seconds later all the lights go off and loses connection. It's a brand new controller I've updated firmware on controller and I've tried multiple USB ports and cables and still not working. The cables work perfectly fine when charging my headset. Any ideas what it could be?

So Eventually it’s just gonna show the Xbox Icon buttons but would it affect your controller? Or it’s just a matter of getting use to the Xbox Icon cause I play on both controllers Xbox and ps5 controllers but when I plugged in my ps5 controller it showed the icon Xbox buttons and I thought my controller was bugged out

@@zxfurry2829 Its working when i installed an alternate DS4 software. The DS4 that makes my ps5 controller work has a pink controller logo, old DS4 which did not detect my controller had a black controller logo.

I agree with other this is a great video, but I am missing something. Trying to setup a Logitech F310 in Steam for River Raid, Sub Command, and Atari Vault. The F310 is configured in Windows 10. Yours is the second video on F310 setup. I have stepped thorough carefully complete each step, no success. I did create a Discord accnt but have no idea what to do there. Thanks

The Logitech F310 is not a PS5 controller. It's a PC/Xbox 360 controller, which means it should work on any game with controller support without installing any software. However it may help to have Xbox Configuration Support checked in Steam, rather than Playstation Configuration Support like shown in the video.
