I just rediscovered Creative Memories. I have some templates from another company and I have to say that incorporating the cutting system and using the repositionable tape on the back of the template are great ideas! Thank you for the great tips and Creative Memory recipe templates are more affordable than the other company

I love these templates, the first one I used was one with a circle in the middle and several circles surrounding, I made a mess of it and swore never again but then I saw the apple one and decided to try again , reading the instructions and watching several you-tube videos really helped, thanks for adding more ideas

I love these for my Calendar Albums, creating “quilts” for each month. They take practice but so worth the time. I taught a lesson for my scrapbookers on my NSD. Sometimes we have to step out of our comfort zone🤣 Thanks for your twist on using these tools ❤ ps…I can’t wait to meet you at the conference 🥰

This was definitely a step outside of the comfort zone moment for me, but I'm glad I tried it. Make sure you stop by the expo between 2 and 3. That's when I speak! See you in MSP.

Thank you so much for this video! I have seen these templates, but had no idea how to use them. I would definitely try one out now that i know how to use it. From the two you did, I liked the circles better, but I think that was because i liked the paper better….so it’s definitely the paper! :)

I have never seen anyone put tape on the recipe template. I like using them. My favorite is the one that looks like a world. It is no longer available. I use the clips and clip to my background page and then just slip the paper/picture pieces under the template to line them up.

They are guide lines or sight lines. They tuck into the top and bottom of the trimmer track and you can pop them out to better visualize where your cutting line is.

I also don't like the intricate spacing and cutting that goes with these templates. I tried it once and haven't done another. I liked the Circle page.

I definitely chose my battle here. I picked a pattern tha ft was far less intricate than others. Maybe 1 day I'll do ONE super fancy page.

So what do you do if the adhesive holding the pieces to the template end up removing the paper color like you said could happen?

I try and only place adhesive in places that will eventually get covered by photos or embellishments, this is more of an issue with dark papers. Lighter ones are usually fine.
