we have a Hervoss slitter at work but it comes off a uncoiler through the slitter, through a seperator then wound up on a recoiler. our slitter uses spacers to set the width between the slits. Not sure on the maths as we usually just put in the info into edgemaster software and it gives us the setup. We will get something like 3 slits at 310mm on a 940mm sheet with amount 5mm scrap each side, and we try to have a clearance of 0.03 between the blades(blades are 12mm wide)

this slitter is so much different than the slitter i run at work

I use a marathon slitter at work. It has the same 1/2" offset.

What equations do you use when trying to figure out the sizes of the cuts?

Hi Alex, do you normally buy a 48" coil and slit everything for panels and trim yourself or do you order coil from supplier preslit to your panel width and slit for trim from there?

What brand is that? We have one and we get inconsistent cuts from time to time.

What kind of slitter is this? Looking to purchase one for my new metal supply business, ty
