How many people do you see on a daily basis with a wheelbarrow? Last one i've seen was over a year ago. They are much rarer than the need to change a car tire, and even 90% of the people don't know how to do that.

I see people use them every day. Wheel barrows arent unicorns, everyone I know has one laying around in the shed or garage somewhere. Possibly one of the most useful tools to move heavy materials ever invented. Shit Im a carpenter and throw all my tools in one every day to take back and forth to the truck. Beats making 3 trips with hand and arms full of awkward tools.

Best tip for wheelbarrow. Toss the thing out and get one of the plastic composite jobs with a bicycle wheel on each side where you really Can get the weight over the axle. Then it's like a dolly. I've had 240 lbs of bagged dirt in mine and run it across flat ground with just a couple fingers. Just like using a dolly. On a hill you'll feel the weight of course, but even more so with the one wheel out front. I'll never own another wheelbarrow and the wheelbarrow can tip where mine does not.

The only downside i can see, is that bumping a 2-wheeled wheelbarrow up a curb will be a lot more difficult. You will have to turn around and drag it up. But if you carry real top heavy stuff like bricks it will still be worth that downside. Having a wheelbarrow topple over gives both a lot of shame as well as extra work. Though a 2-wheeled wheelbarrow might look like a disabled help tool.

I wouldnt recommend them if you are using them with anything heavy. Unlike alot of these commentors, I use a wheel barrow on a daily basis at work. While a 2 wheel seems more stable with heavy loads they are next to impossible to make sharp turns with any kind of load. Rarely is a wheel barrow used in a straight line with no hills are sharp cuts you need to make. If you plan on carrying heavy materials such as concrete, dirt or rock go with the single wheel steel barrow. If its for mulch or garden use buy a cheap plastic barrow with 2 wheels.
