These things are a time-saver when imaging new laptops. Sadly, the controller chip in them smokes if your USB-C port on the laptop is fried. I have gone through four NVMe enclosures of different types in the past year alone due to shorts or something sending too much voltage/current out of the USB-C port on a laptop. Sadly there is no "tester" that will check the port without having a "sacrificial" device connected after it. I need a USB-C port (on the laptop) tester and that alone.

This is so handy, my laptop was working perfectly ok, I forgot to plug in the power cable and the battery got depleted, the laptop then shut itself off, I tried charging the device but the charging light indicator at the side of the laptop is not showing, the laptop now refuse to charge, I need to recover all my data as it's the core of my business, this device is perfect

lol no case..... imagine traveling with this thing or shorting something out with a tiny piece of conductive dust floating around your house. good luck recovering your "fast data"

These adaptors should be backward compatible with usb2 slots, you just won’t get the data transfer speeds of a usb3 slot. I’ve just bought one to try out, just waiting for my m.2 card to arrive, it should work as extended storage on my PS4 as that requires usb3 to work

The instructions for the adapter clearly show that it's not compatible with 1 slot drives and yet your drive is a 1 slot (as is mine). How is your adapter working?

No. It won't have direct PCIe lane connection to the CPU anymore.

Can you upgrade the firmware for the samsung 990 pro internal ssd with this method? Would love to subscribe but if you cant at least respond to some comments to help your subscribers or would be subscribers i honestly dont see incentive to subscribe. A simple "no this method wont work for that , or yes this method will work for that " would help so many people in such a big way . Its not just about making videos. Engagement .😢
