Yes. Add two or more people names and choose that they have to approve in the order of names added.

I hope you can help me. I've been looking over the internet but can't find a satisfying answer. I get the gist of the approvals app. But there are a lot more complexities around the approvals. For example: How can I share an approved document with a third person? Say I have a request for one department, but I have to have the approval of another department in orther to get it processed. How can I do this with teams? (The first department doesn't approve, only processes the request). Another question: How can I be sure that my team uses the approved document and not a differnet copy? How does Teams "mark" a document as approved? A third: If a document needs multiple layers of approval, must I restart all over with the approval process if one link rejects it and requests a change? I know it's a lot, but I'm trying to move my department away from paper approvals and into Teams...

Teams Approvals is to be used for simple approvals which are currently happening using Email and chat. For more complex requirements use Power Automate Approvals. Everything you have asked for and more can be done using Power Automate.

other than Approve and Reject is there a way to referback to the requester for changes?

Thanks @vsrblr Yes. You can have custom responses. Enable the Custom Responses button and add your responses.
