How to Use Cricut Adhesive Foil

If you've wondered how to use Cricut Adhesive Foil you're in the right place. Today we're going to use Adhesive Foil and Adhesive Foil Matte starting with a test cut to learn which settings work best.
We'll test which Transfer Tape to use and the steps for lasting adhesion!
Also, I don't know why I kept saying StrongGrip Mat instead of StandardGrip - we'll just call it - "tired" :)

Great project and very useful tips on using adhesive foil. I just ordered the Fall mystery box and it includes adhesive foil. I had never used this material before so now I feel prepared. Thanks to you, I also ordered the strong grip transfer tape to use with it.

The StrongGrip definitely makes a difference. I think most materials that require StrongGrip Transfer Tape come with a sheet but good plan having extra on hand.

I am making wedding place cards with the rose gold foil and was struggling so much with it not sticking to the regular transfer tape at all! (All this time I had no idea there was a strong grip one.) This actually now worked perfectly! Thank you so much!

Definitely wait 72 hours and then you can gently hand wash :)

Great video 😁The Cricut adhesive foil is something I struggle with. The metallic foil especially. I have the Cricut explore air 2 and I have to do at least 3 passes in my machine to get a clean cut even when it’s set to adhesive foil 😔

Oh no. Did you try upping the pressure before cutting? I will try cutting it on my Air 2 soon!

Yes Ciara same here. I jus came to KZfaq to read reviews on Cricut Foil and I’ve tried more pressure. I hate wasting time lol the directions are on side but didn’t work for me either

Update: I have an Air2 and had to choose Cardstock setting and more pressure to cut Cricut adhesive foil.

Cricut Adhesive Metallic Foil 12"X48"-Rose Gold can be use for mug ? If yes so it can be remove ?

Yes it can be used on mugs. To remove it I would soak it in water as that is not recommended with permanent vinyls :)

What about removing clear protective sheet before cutting ? This is what my package of glossy silver foil says but I can’t find the dam coating

is that a Cricut product? Are they saying to make sure you remove the plastic sheet from the cutting mat?

@@CreativeHousewives yes mam and i could NOT for life the life of me ever find any plastic sheet UNTIL i tried putting it back in the tube-- it was a complete nightmare

That's sounds like iron on...Iron on has a plastic sheet.

I'm not sure. I haven't tried it yet. I would think if you cut something that could be used like a sticker that wouldn't require transfer tape it would work.
