Basic Dip Tank Solution Steps:
Make sure the tank is clean of any residue or old emulsion and chemicals.
Fill with water first - approximately 25 gallons. (For a 30 gallon tank, if larger or smaller, adjust accordingly)
Add 5 gallons of Easiway Dip Tank Solution. Adding the chemical after the water keeps the foaming to a minimum.
To begin reclaim process: Card off any and all excess ink on the screen. Any excess ink will slow down the softening of the stencil and make reclaim take longer. Excess ink left on the screen can also end up in the dip tank or stuck on the walls of the washout booth.
Put in screens to be reclaimed. Wait between 30 seconds and 1 minute before removing screens to be reclaimed. Thicker stencils will take longer for the active ingredients to break down the emulsion.
Thinner stencils will break down quickly. If left in the dunk tank for too long, the emulsion may fall off the screen and settle at the bottom. (Note: Not all emulsions will loosen or fall off in dip tank, emulsion fall-off time can vary between brands, ideally adjust times to avoid emulsion falling off inside of dip tank)
It is recommended to use a pressure washer to remove the dissolved stencil, but a high-pressure hose attachment can work.
Follow up with Multipurpose Ink Stain & Haze Remover to complete the reclaim process.

Sorry for any confusion! For best practice, mix 1 part chemical to 5 parts water.

Honestly , Diptanks are a waste of time and a huge dump of waste into the environment . Unless of course you have a filter system , which is another video all together .

Oh we have those videos too! We offer a state-of-the-art filtration system to combat that exact issue, but Dip Tanks can be a huge time saver for shops reclaiming several screens every day. Thanks for the comment though, appreciate your perspective!

@@Ryonet we reclaim 12-24 screens daily and have never found use for a dip tank . Once you set up your "system" you can do 24 screens cleaned , reclaimed and dehazed in about 2 hours . I guess it's all a thing about preference. .

@@LTPersaud education is key, to learning how to produce better cleaner work , my comments were based on watching 15 dip tank videos , I was having dip tank fatigue. No matter, dip tanks still put a lot of waste into the water system if it is not filtered and I notice none of the videos I saw talk about filtering the water . Where I am at , the water company sends an inspector to check the chemical and how much is dumped on a monthly basis AND if we at least filter the emulsion solids before going back into the sewer, which we do . Sure this product is good for its purpose BUT I think they should compliment the video explaining how to dump this dirty water properly . Sorry if you work for them or use their products and I stepped on your toes .
