This is absolutely fantastic. Im so glad YT suggested your channel. Watched several of your vids today, and all are great work, very well explained, and well done. Thank you for this series!! Question .. IK the code in this vid is based off an existing library, and as such can be altered as needed, but, is it suitable as-is for low-power consumption implementations, such as when running off battery power? Im looking to diy a daily timer system that will run off 12v DC battery. Also, by way of feedback, I absolutely loved when you explained the use of capacitor and diode in the dc motor vid of this series. I would love to see a vid or vids re how and when to use capacitors, diodes, and resistors and how to choose these components in their appropriate values (e.g. what should the uF or Oh be of the cap/resistor). This is more EE, I realize, but I havent seen this yet in anything close to a beginner level. Your presentation style might be perfect for this. Thanks again, sry for tldr

Hi - we haven't done any long-term testing of this code and power consumption. We don't have any of our own tutorials on it but you should be able to find tutorials online for longer-term low-power Arduino usage. And thanks for your feedback - we are a K-12 STEM education nonprofit that covers all areas of science. We do have a lot of electronics and Arduino content but it is mostly targeted at the K-12 level and doesn't get into college-level electrical engineering, but you should be able to find plenty of playlists/lecture series on these topics online. Here's one by Dr. Ben Finio, our staff scientist who does all our electronics content and also taught Mechatronics at Cornell: kzfaq.info/sun/PLKL6KBeCnI3U6KNZEiitdtqvrxkBhpuOp&si=Pd3sXXBryKZ2ElnT

Does this run in millaseconds? I am thinking about making a very time sensitive project and need it to monitor up to1/100 seconds

The Adafruit documentation does not mention tracking milliseconds, but that doesn't mean it isn't possible - you would need to dig further into the documentation for it: www.adafruit.com/product/3013
