This is part 2 of a series of videos I did using fabric on the cards. I show you several different ways to use fabric, including how to adhere it to the paper and how to cut.
There are so many possibilities with fabric. It’s very similar to how you use DSP or designer series paper.

Prior to Wonder Under, we used freezer paper to stabilize fabric for cutting out appliques. Thank goodness someone invented Wonder Under!! Love all your cards...nice work!!

When arthritis in my hands got too bad to continue quilting, I started with cardmaking. I think I have a million (well maybe not quite a million) fat quarters of some beautiful fabrics! Watching your videos of how to use fabric in cardmaking opened a whole new world to me. Thanks Brandy! 🌸💐

i just had surgery last week for the arthritis in my thumb! i also quilt and make several different things, like bags, back packs etc! i started doing cards to have something to do while i cant sew! M daughter says i am a fabric hoarder! Using fabric to make cards is a great use oh beautiful fabric scraps! Thanks to youtube i am learning a lot of different things to sew and different crafts I had never imagined I would do!

Thank you so much for teaching us how to make fabric cards. My daughter & I belong to a Girl Scout group (for adults). We have a camp weekend which offers classes that those attending camp can take. I am going to teach a card making class at our Fall camp this year & was looking for a new technique. I am so excited about teaching my students how to make these cards.

Hi, I am going to try using my husbands old ties to see if they also work with the Wonder Under product onto cardstock. He has some really cool patterns and color combos. It can't hurt when making some more masculine cards. Thank you for making your videos.

Love the fabric cards! Great idea to purchase the t-shirt and cut it up. Mom created cards with fabric when she began and I know my daughter has several of her pieces that were left, that we found when cleaning out her house. Now, I have ideas to put them to use!

Love your cards. Since I quilt, I have learned ways to use up every last piece. One of my favorite ways is using whatever strips I have left to weave a background. Take the strips left over, with fusible on the back, but not attached to cardstock, and lay them vertically and horizontally on the card stock, going beyond the edge of the card. Then weave them over and under. Make sure there are no gaps between the strips. When everything is in place, press (not iron) the strips to the cardstock and trim the edges. If the fabric is bright or busy, a black silhouette of something die cut looks great over the background. If the background is fairly neutral, it is perfect for broderie perse. I enjoyed your ideas. I have been wanting to emboss fabric for some time, but wasn't sure it would work. Now I know. Thanks

You love birds and I love sunflowers. My favorite fabric brand is Timeless Treasures BTW. And, Jane VT I have extreme RA and cannot hand quilt for a decade now. I turned to card making as an craft for my quilting outlet ! 🙋 Nana in se OK

I have a lot of my son’s old shirts I don’t want to toss but some have holes or stains but the color n patterns are awesome. Ones from Mexico or Jamaica. I was just thinking how could I turn them into a card. Lol. My hubby thought I was crazy then I saw this video. Thanks!

I am so excited to try this project with fabric. So much so that my daughter will be purchasing the heat bond for me on her way home from work today. When my dad was alive about 7years ago I made a quilt with African pattern material. I have some left over and my zany zebra stamp set justcame in today. so I will definitely be playing when my daughter gets home. Thanks for sharing.

Brandy, I stumbled into your videos and I am hooked! What a way to combine my sewing and card making hobbies. I have die cut fabric to use on my cards to emulate quilt patterns, and stamped on fabric scraps to cover and repurpose empty containers to hold mt tools -but your ideas take the process to a new level! I am done for today and resting with my feet up, but tomorrow is a new day! Your ideas are a great alternative to coloring for those days when I am lazy. Thanks again!

The Gypsy Quilter makes a Felted Wool pressing mat in assorted sizes. I have one in a 13” square I use for small pieces of fabric for quilting, it would be great for you to use, much more solid than the pressing arm. You can use the mat anywhere and the heat does not transfer to what’s under it. Thanks for your ideas, now I have a use for all my fabric scraps. 👍

Love this process. Never thought of using fabric! Thanks for that. I have a large stash of fabric because I have made quilts for years! A good way to get the adhesive to adhere to the fabric try ‘pressing’ the fabric to the wonder under instead of ironing it. Keep the iron still in one spot, then pick up and move and press down a new area for a few seconds. I think you’ll like the result.

Nice cards! This reminds me of the napkin cards that were done years ago. I believe that you had a video for that using heat and bond and the dazzling diamonds with heat and stick powder.. People are starting to do those again. Thanks for sharing.
