In this video I will be sharing Handwriting Without Tears / Learning with Tears, their preschool curriculum. A how to, review, flip-through with manipulatives. And the manipulatives can last through kindergarten, 1st and even 2nd grade. We are currently using this curriculum with my youngest daughter who has Down Syndrome, and even though this curriculum is great for special needs, it is also super great with all kids. We have used this multiple times with most of my kids.

I stumbled upon this video looking for an intro/tutorial for the HWT program which I plan to use for my son with DS and was pleasantly surprised to see you have a daughter with DS and it works well for her! Just love finding another DS mom and this one I didnt even go looking for! Thank you!

We haven’t yet looked at handwriting without tears but we are using a handwriting curriculum for our youngest who we think is dyslexic. The wood blocks look awesome!!! We love simple!!!

Thank you for sharing! I went on their website last night and I have no idea what to buy. My son is 6, on the spectrum, and he struggles with pencil grip as well as writing uppercase/lowercase letters. Do you have any suggestions on where to start with LWT?

This was such a helpful video. Thank you for posting this! My 7 year old daughter likely has dysgraphia. We are waiting on an OT referral and looking in to HWOT. What level would you suggest starting with? She recognizes letters and numbers and we recently started All About Reading Level 1. That is going well.

Is a reading log supposed to be only when you read a new book or is it a log of daily reading? My kids cant read yet , i read to them daily and sometimes we use the same books...so i wasn't sure and i cant find anything online saying one way or the other..

It honestly can be whatever you want it to be. I keep a list of books we've finished, on their own or read aloud. On the same log. But if you like daily reading logs, you can do that. It's whatever works best for you.
