I use this feature all the time just this morning I do wish you could lock the display button to the top bar of your screen like volumeb controls But I use the wireless all the time and it works surprisingly well everytime Also fun fact any Roku TV or Roku device can do this as well if you work from home

My coworker needs help! Both a 3rd gen iPad Pro (2018) and a MacBook Pro (2020) are up to date. We connected the iPad using a USBc cable and nothing is showing up. Tried doing it wirelessly (same WiFi network, Apple ID, both Bluetooth activated) and nothing is showing up. The devices are on the same account. Any clue what we are missing?? My iPad does this function perfectly wirelessly, but we can’t figure out why hers is not showing up.

Being able to use my 2018 iPad Pro as a 2nd monitor has really made it a necessary addition to my laptop back back. Universal control has also become very useful. Do you know if it’s possible to put the iPad in a portrait orientation when being used as a extended monitor?

what if the apple id's are different in both the devices is it still work the same?

Hello, I use my Macbook M1 Air + iPad 2021 as extension display (wirelessly). Unfortunately, from time to time I lost connection and it all gets very laggy or disconnects completely. This happens especially after I let the devices to go into the "sleep mode" - after a display turns off when letting it couple of minutes unoccupied. Any advices? I prefer the wireless connection.

Whenever I connect my iPad Pro to my MacBook, it just charges the iPad. It doesn’t act as a 2nd display. Wireless works, but any advice on getting the wired connection to work properly?

Can the extended display work in vertical portrait mode? What iPads are compatible with this feature?

It freezes after some time every time when on Wi-Fi for over a year now.

This use to work on my macbook pro 2015 with ipad pro 2020, but now my ipad won't show as an option to screen mirror on ipad. Everthing is up to date, but nothing works, not even a regular monitor works on my macbook pro anymore. Any ideas why?

Just know the apple id has to be the same on both devices, if you have two users on your mac with different apple id's, they each must use their own separate iPad. I have my mac set up with two apple ids, my business id and my personal id. This doesn't work for me so I use a portable monitor about 150 bucks on the other A store.
