Hmm, I just bought yesterday a 13 macbook pro from late 2011 with an i7 and took me hours just to install mac os lion. AGES OK? Now, in less than 24 hours I have Sonoma because of this video, all things well explained, in this exact moment I finished the installation. - I will come with a later edit but keep in mind that I paid 20$ for the macbook, 20$ for a silicon power 256 ssd and upgraded the ram from 4gb 1333 to 8gb 1600. So for less than 50$ I have a working laptop with the OS like my M1 MB from 2021 that cost me almost 4k$. Intresting....

I appreciate the update. Even if you don’t do the 2012 MacBook Pro 💻 OS UPDATE instructional videos with new versions of Open Core, there will always be the older videos you did for that. Judging by those videos the process with newer installations of MAC OS is similar if not the same as other older updates like Ventura or Sonoma. I just updated my 2012 MacBook Pro to Sonoma from Ventura and I can’t thank you enough for the videos. I hope you keep doing those videos though. Keep up the great work.❤ your channel.

I can't imagine anyone saying this is easy. I am a senior citizen with a few years of computer/iMac experience and I doubt if I'll try this. I do have a 2012 Mac Book Pro. You frequently had to type in your password. What password is that, the one used to sign on to the computer or something else. Please note I am not asking for your password just which one I need to use when I get up the courage to try this. Thank you.

With Apple products rule of thumb is try to never upgrade OS or IOS unless you have to ..they are designed to put more load in your older hardware so you will upgrade hardware.

I had catalina and made the install usb. Trying get to sonoma but I'm seeing just now that some of you went to ventura or other versions first. Hoping that i make it through. As ive had some hickups at the update part.

Thanks for the instruction. It gave a new life for my old MD101, which will be used for building iOS (Flutter) apps and debugging. But, to be honest, old versions are better for this weak device because Sonoma requires better hardware despite having 16 GB RAM and SSD installed. My current MBP16 2019 is still dealing with it but it feels hotter and less efficient so I am afraid it will work with the next macOS versions like MD101 works with Sonoma.

I'm glad you're back. Can you do more on Windows laptops and how they compared to Chromebooks because those are the most interesting to me especially if you can do one where you're able to burn or rip a CD into the Windows laptop knowing that that can't be done with a Chromebook. Maybe Chromebook will add that in the future. I had a Chromebook and it was a great computer but I really wanted to go back to Windows because I wanted to rip CDs into it.

Hi, stupid question but have to Ask. Love procreate and can’t leave it behind but need A larger screen to Draw on. So my question is: Could you connect your iPad to ar drawing screen/drawing tablet such as Wacom or such. And then open Procreate in iPad and also Draw on the Wacom in procreate?

After copying Sonoma to the usb drive, my screen turned black. My macbook pro appears to be frozen. How long does it take to copy onto the usb drive before installing to the hard drive?
