In this Hearthstone Mercenaries guide, I take a look at Orcs. Orcs are a top-tier PvE comp that can beat the vast majority of heroic bounties and is the optimal choice for many of them.
If you can get some good stat buffs rolling, your Orcs with roll over the enemy even if you just roll your face over the keyboard. If you don't, you may need to think, and that is what this guide will help you with.

Your video about using orcs for Heroic Lieutenant Rotimer REALLY helped me to get Yu'Lon's 3rd equipment! Honestly stacking all the orc buffs (especially the warchief ones for Garrosh and Thrall) made the climb so much smoother.

There is a consideration for Orcish Banner (Battle Shout restores 10 health to friendly Orcs) on Garrosh and Saronite Stompers (Mobilizing Strike gives +4/+4 more) on Saurfang. Saronite Stompers in a standard attacking pattern Thrall-Garrosh-Saufang makes Mobilizing Strike immediately give an extra +12/12 and more each turn you use this ability, compared to +5/+12 once from Serrated Shield. Orcish Banner gives overall more health than Tusks of Mannoroth against a standard 3-enemy comp (which, of course, is sometimes expanded to 4 or even more enemies, in which case Tusks does provide more health), albeit spread out to all Orcs; also it depends on which of the two abilities off cooldown you would use (I personally prefer Battle Shout to Horde Strength with +10 health restored).

Perfect ! You are awesome i had The same issues had to Max chars or reroll Bounty till i Got a favorered route with Boon and a backup revive. Usually that isnt needed ! Ty 😜 keep it up my man!

Update! I was lucky when I purchased Mercenary Packs with Gold and I got Garrosh, Thrall and Galvengar :) Now I will follow your advice and obliterate them with my orcish crew :)

I too like to use a Horde only team. My actual Squad of Mercenaries is made of: Grom Hellscrean, Varok Saurfang, Rokara, Blademaster Samuro, Cairne Bloodhoof and Guff Runetotem. I managed to clear The Barrens on Normal and all but the Secret Cow on Heroic. I have unlocked Neeru Fireblade and some other Ork (forgot which one it was), but I need more Coins for Thrall. At the moment I struggle with Prince Maelchazaar in Felwood on Normal, but I will defeat him eventually, but it must be done with a Squad of Orcs only, since I am not a big fan of the Alliance :P Lok'tar Ogar!! FOR THE HORDE!!

garrosh with banner, thrall with the orcs get attacked eq, saurf with the stat buff, galv with +5 attack for mercs drekthar with +att and freeze eq. You dont really need a 6th merc here. Maestra grommash samuro rexxar rokara are all fine...grommash for the slow move might be best as he can save your dudes...but it really doesnt matter. I like Maestra personally for the bench summon when your dude dies equipment Guldan is a nice thought for the drainlife healing all your dudes, but honestly it really needs to be 5 speed not 6 speed, i gave up on him because of that, and his lackluster t1. Green hero on thrall is insane. Best comp I have figured out. nature and celestials might be somewhat better in more situations, but orcs can just burn through enemies so fast, and they are way more resilient to merc deaths.

Can you make a dragon comp to farm the bounty? I need to do all av normal to get chi (have not done any av). But I didn't invest in my orcs when I stopped playing.

i play them differently (windfury on Thrall for example to one-shot any green minion) and i always pick every legendary token on my route, if the color distribution is 2-1-1 (which is the most frequent) i always win, 3-1 color distributions are harder if the 3 are blue, not a problem otherwise and if all 4 come from the same color 4 blue are extremely difficult to kill without losing a minion no matter what you play (because the 4 casters focus fire on 1 minion) but the other mono-color teams are not that hard

Did Blizzard changed Mak'Gora? It's now 5 speed from tier 1 not like before on tier 5 and this breaks the synergy with Thrall, is this comp still strong? Your guide is very well explained, thank you very much for your all work.

Yes, it was changed. The synergy is now weaker, although not unplayable.

Hi! You said that Galvangar could be swap for Rokara, which item and ability would he use?

The +attack equipment. As for the ability, sometimes you want to enable Samuro with the second ability, but often you just attack with the first.

Does Gul'dan fit in at all with orcs or is he meant to be played with some other comp? I recently got him and I can't tell if he is even usable or not.

Gul'dan does not get stat buff treasures as often as other Orcs, which makes him weaker. He can still be useful as a blue and for healing, and I have used him a few times, but usually it's just the melee Orcs.

Hello, it's me again with another orc question (I like orcs a lot). Is Drek'Thar part of the "ideal" orc team now? And as a side note, I'd be very interested in a video series where you cover specific mercs and talk about their usefulness, best combos, pve/pvp relevance, etc. It would make it easier to determine how much effort I should put into farming for some champs.

Personally, I like adding Drek'Thar just to have one blue, but I am certainly no expert either!
