For the MIG-29 I just use HMD PD, fantastic mode only good for 10km but thats all you'll fight really these days. But for planes without I usually just use the ACM mode, it has a range of at most 19km which is plenty for aim-7's, and it works REALLY well. If you bind your radar to turn on and off you can lock stuff and then turn radar off and switch targets very quickly. In the F-16, or any jet with a PD or good radar, ACM mode is dangerous.

I play on console and I just unlocked my F15 after the grind. Looked online for hours and all I could find was key bindings for computer. This single KZfaq short solved all my radar set up needs. Thank you.

"beyond/within visual range combat" switches from and to beyond visual range and within visual range..

Please note PD is designed for head on/ high speed targets compared to YOU so if your slow theyre fast moving away from you, you can lock them but if your both moving same speed in a chase you wont get the lock PD especially with something like the F4S.

The guidance subsystem uses deviations to generate corrective commands to drive the missile from a position where it is, to a position where it isnt

Tws is best for bvr in any case when there is more then one enemy up It showcases range and alt the best Heading too

Nope. You have to keep the target lock by the radar. If you miss the green square, the missile won't hit.

What about HMD And HMD PD like in the F4S because I try to use that in (God forbid it) low speed or low energy portions where I get myself in a shitty spot and need to kind of turn lock someone (I still never get more than 1-2 kills)

HMD PD will always be the best choice. However try to avoid turning with the F4S as much as possible.

@@CcaraaaMTI is basically a primitive SRC PD mode, it's on the Mig23 for example. It's not that important and most planes don't have it so it wasn't worth mentioning
