In this video, I talk about the rivets I use in my bag making, how to choose the correct shank length and cap size, and much more. There's no need to be scared of rivets. Hi Chris. Great video. 💌 I purchased a double cap removal die set from Snaps Australia at Nelsons Bay and would highly recommend this to anyone who uses a lot of rivets. They also have a set of dies for removing the plastic snaps. 💖

So glad you did this tutorial! I only recently got a rivet press, and while I love it, I did get confused over the sizing of rivets. You explained it all so clearly and simply! ☺

In the UK I use the Trimming Shop for the rivet press and rivets, always good quality!

Does it matter which way you put the rivet into the press?

If you mean cap only or cap plus post, no it doesn’t matter which one goes where. 😊

It would be helpful if your camera were a little closer to the work. From the distance you now have it, the rivets all look almost the same, but thank you for posting your video.

Thanks for your feedback, I appreciate it! I’m not sure what device you are watching on but if it’s an iPhone, you can watch on full screen and then pinch the video to zoom in for a closer look. Not sure about other phones though.
