Step-by-step guide to using drum loops, shout tracks, bump tracks, in Ableton Live.
By drum loops, I don’t mean backing tracks in general or one shots. I mean looping drum loops that can keep time and/or add a layer of excitement to your music.

I’m new to your template and I love it for songs, but I’m having trouble using it in arrangement view, for songs with only a simple loop, and arrangement view for songs with stems. It seems like I can only use it one way and not go back and forth in the same session. Is there a work around?

Hey man, I'm a user of your template, that's a great help, so huge thanks to you! Quick question: is there an easy way to move tracks around (let's say multi stems track) if the artist want to change tracklist order last minute? I'm having kinda of an hard time to do that quickly and easy in arrangement view. Thank you!

Hi Will I'm in the process of making backing tracks for my band and I've hit a problem. We would like to run our keys over abelton but our plugins use too much cpu, we have already made a midi that turns them off when not in use but it's not enough is there anything else you can do. when I'm not using the keys my cpu is at 4%. We are using Arturia V collection as plugins. Do you have a video showing how to keep your cpu down when using it for live instruments. Your videos have really helped us a lot with our backing track.

Hey there! Assuming you're using ableton live, have you freezed and flattened those tracks? Bc that will basically render the plugins into the track so that you're no longer running heavy CPU plugins. I would freeze and flatten all your tracks that have plugins or audio effects on them, and then save that as a separate "live" version of the project. Then you use that when performing, and you still have your original project with plugins and MIDI for if you need to make changes. Hope that helps.

Yes I use abelton 11, but it's not a track I have many plugins on, it's a midi piano where we use abelton's instrument rack to run it through which has some pretty heavy plugins on. So it's a midi piano we have that we play live and run through an instrument rack with heavy plugins on it. Can you make it so it draws less cpu. Thanks for the reply!

Can you get a single multi-instrument plugin like Omnisphere or Mksensation that can layer instruments within itself. I think that would use far less CPU than using an instrument rack with so many plugins

Since you can both start and stop the shaker/tambo using the mapped buttons, why did you create 2 scenes for each song? What does that gain you? You didn't explain this.
