Do you use slack with your remote workers? A lot of remote companies have trouble working effectively on slack and it can suck up a lot of your attention. So I'm sharing a few of the little hacks I have in using slack so you can save time and more importantly not have it suck the attention of you and your team out the window.

In case you're confused about the "@" mentions: At 6:35 in the video Liam mentioned that in the upper right corner of Slack there's an "@" icon - which there is! - but the video zoomed in and drew a circle around the upper LEFT where there is no "@" icon.

Is there a slack integration that simply posts the monthly goal . . for example signing 10 new clients and then shares a real time countdown, so the whole team can see where we are

Thanks for the video. What do you find more productive: setting up a lot of channels each devoted to a specific question OR having fewer channels but with greater number of messages in each of them?

Once I look at a channel it disappears and that seemed to really boost my productivity as I'd just scroll through channels and it was honestly a waste of time. You can set that up in the settings

I was really looking forward to learning how to autohide the slack channels but you never showed us :( I was hoping to do the same thing with multiple Slack workspaces

What would be the fastest way to post a response to a post (under a thread)? Asking because I've been posting much too slowly for a "first come first serve" volunteer job. Selecting "reply" or the "reply to" button is much too slow.

Is there any way to mark my account "I am in focus mode" for a while, so anyone wanna disturb, slack will notify him .. this guy in focus mode now.. if you have really something urgent I will send a notification to him.. else will notify later. ..BTW: Thanks for the brilliant tips

@2:03 that's a different keyword than what the subsequent message shows: @liam emergency vs liamemergency - so you'd still get the notification because it's a @mention 6:46 you describe one thing but show the other

If you go to Preferences > Sidebar Settings, look for Appearance to set what is visible in your sidebar. Choose "Unreads only."

Why would ANYONE want this on their phones? Why! It's too busy and you cannot control the channels. Teach me something I can really hack such as deleting all channels, and only having my team only. Hate it!
