when you look at the ATR value to determine the stop loss level, what time frame do you set the chart to, is it daily if you want to day trade, or weekly if you want to hold trades for a week, or monthly if you plan to swing trade for a month? The ATR value is different depending on the time frame, because the average volatility for the last 14 days is different from that for the last 14 weeks

Could you use this? For a 30 second candle. ENTRY is 1.5 ATR 14 period (based on trend) Exit at 2 pips. Scalping strategy. EURSGD

The only problem is that a trailing ATR stop only works for strong trends, a ranging market will kill you.

Hey Nick would you be able to have an episode to discuss regulated vs non regulated brokers pros and cons and how that plays into taxes as an American? Im having some trouble finding another broker in which i can trade commodities and cfds, and im wondering if I should go the unregulated route to trade them. im also worried about the taxes and how they work with me trying to trade with an unregulated broker. Hey nick i have a question with atr im using a 5 digit broker on mt4 so 30 pips is 300 on my mt4 if the atr is reading example 0.0345 is that 34.5 pips/345 or is it 345 pips witch would be 3450 pips witch equalls 345 pips
