Excellent video; your director did a top job and was very helpful. I have that laser measurer, and it's very accurate. BOSCH makes terrific devices, especially for DIYers. A few points. The GLM 50c should be calibrated before use. Works best if placed on a level and hard surface. I'm 74 and have a shaky hand which interferes when I hold it in my hand. I usually mount it on a camera tripod stand, so it doesn't move when I use it. Another advantage is that you don't need a helper to hold the end of a tape measure when you use it.

Hi, Thanks for doing this video. I've set the GLM50C's display such that it shows only inches instead of feet and inches. When I transfer the measurement to a drawing, it always converts to feet and inches. Is there a way to tell the app not to do the conversion but transfer it as-is? It's causing human manual calculation errors when my workers are converting them back to all inches -- sorry, but some workers are just not good in math :-( Thank you.

Hi, how do you set the accuracy level for this device? It gives me 1/32" or even 1/64" of an inch accuracy and I want 1/8" or 1/4" accuracy. It's frustrating as hell getting these super precise numbers. I mean 6'-4 21/32" what is that! 🙂Thanks.

Hi! I just purchased it and watched this video over and over, but I could not get the correct measurements in the picture like the ones illustrated here. I really think I'm missing something in the process. I downloaded the app (Bosch measureon) and activated the bluetooth etc. I tried taking a picture and measured manually the initial dimension and it was fine, however, when I tried getting the other measurement of the succeeding arrows, the values I got were all wrong. Could you please help me out...I'd really appreciate it... thank you!

ill try, not sure if this applies to what you were doing, but depending on when your measuring you have to select the inside or outside of the wall. for the option where you take a pic and add the arrows and apply the measurements, it should be pretty straight forward. take the pic, add the arrow, select the arrow, it will turn yellow, then take the measurement and it should apply it to the pic. I hope that helps. let me know if you need more help.

No you can’t. However I just got the new one and it can. It also does a lot more than this model. I’ll be putting up a video soon. Or you can see a small video of it on Amazon.com that i did

yes, you can select different point on the side of the laser to measure from in the menu

i just bought Bosch GLM 50C , is there a way to switch the fraction from 1/32" to 1/8" for each measurement ? 1/32 becomes complicated , thanks

When you make floorplans for a living then this is not fast enough. You need to know where the windows and doors are, but to have to take a picture for putting in measurements, that's just too much. All i need is a floorplan and some scetches of walls to see where's what. This app is not for me but maybe for a hobbyist or 1 time project.

I think it's great when working with clients, or sub trades that need to see a space, we can take a pic, add measurements and it seems to help people who can't visualize things. I agree for me and others I like a set of drawing from the architect over this any day.
