We need more multistage options like this for other materials. Draw, Score (with a blade), and cut! Score with a blade and then Cut the material would be Super helpful.

This is a great video for beginners like myself. Guided in every detail in a manner that didn’t take to long to explain. If I had to give any suggestions I would say, somehow make the arrow red in order to follow where you will be clicking next. I found I had to go back just a couple times to find the arrow on what to click. I am new to this and the Circut Maker 3 is my first machine. Trying to find tutorials without a lot of talking or skipping parts is sometimes a challenge. This tutorial was next to perfect and to the point without the additional talking. Great tutorial for beginners like myself. Thank you. ❤

All the tools CAN'T be because they are literally different machines. If they don't have the motor capacity to do a job then what is the point of making the blade compatible? The knife blade for instance is a whole little mechanism on it's own, and the explore isn't made to use that tool.

I'm a graphic designer and am keen to push creative boundaries. As a complete newbie and a potential customer, I'd like to see a gallery of Cricut creations on the website so I know what the capabilities are. All of the KZfaq videos I've seen have been pretty general crafty projects. I'm sure there are creative geniuses among the Cricut community. Aren't there?

We share a lot of beginner tutorials for those just getting started on our KZfaq page, but this group will be a great place to get a sense of what other makers do with their machines!

In my own opinion, I find it easier to make the foil more taught by taping down the corners instead of the whole side.

Be glad you've got the foil quill, because this Cricut foil transfer tool DOES NOT work like they show it on these videos. I'm doing everything right, but the foiling results are horrendous. Stick with the Foil Quill and save yourself some money.

How do you know where to place the foil on the base material so that the cut actually starts on the foil and not the tape or base material as my practice runs did?

Great suggestion, Debbie! The key will be to ensure you've used Foil Linetype selections and selected the foil color you want. Then use the Attach tool to fasten them to the layer you want to foil. No matter how many layers have foil linetype selections attached, Design Space will prompt you when it's time to switch tips and foil colors based on the Linetype and colors you've selected.

ive used the foil quill since i got my makr which is a similar process and its not that many steps when youre doing it . you just put the foil over your cardstock and use draw in design space .

A quick question, I want to apply foil to card stock and then cut the card stock to make boxes, will this machine allow for a registration application of the foil in the exact locations needed? It wasn’t clear to me if you had this design in complete registration.

It needs to be made clear which side of the foil goes up/down. I made that mistake One time and ruined a sheet of foil. Also, it needs to be clear to "Attach" the foil Line type or the cutter doesn't do it right. Thanks for the video.

I have tried using the Cricut foil multiple times however when I feed it through the Cricut machine, the print doesn’t come out nicely. It always comes out faded. What is the reason for that and is there a solution

This video is linked from the Joy app and in the video it is stated that this project is not compatible with the Joy machine. Either edit your video or make one for the Joy.

Cathy, it's a good idea to move the wheels but not necessary if you have a fairly basic foiling (not intricate). Great question!

I tried using 176g stock but when I took the foil tape off of the card, it stuck to the card and I could not remove it without tearing the card. How do I prevent this?

I worked it out. I cut a square out of a transparency, attached the foild to that and then overlayed the transparency (with the foil inserted) over the card. Worked like a treat.

Great question! There are LOTS of ways to customize gift tags. If you search in Design Space project for Gift Tags you can see a few quick and ready to go ones! Just duplicate the tag for as many as you'd like, and it will sort it on your mat to get the most out of your material.

Looks like a super fun new tool but unfortunately I have invested far too much time and money into Cricut products. The software is extremely flawed which makes these items useless. Not to mention the customer service is almost non existent. It’s extremely frustrating that they aren’t investing their time and money into Design Space when it’s such a key element of the functionality of all of the Cricut products. I wish I would have gone with the Silhouette.

Cricut Foil Transfer Sheets are recommended for use with Cricut Foil Transfer Tool. Other foils are made to work with heat, while ours is based on pressure. Thanks for asking!
