Great tips 👍 but instead of using the cut tool and then « insert space », you can directly select the area you want and click on « Slice & insert space » 😉

holy shit didn't know this existed, but if you want to still have the grid align correctly, just add a time signature marker of 1/4 or 4/1 i dont remember. and then after the empty space add a 4/4 time signature marker

The problem that i have is that the midi information in the piano roll is not being reflected for every VST channel that i am using after i added the space, anybody knows how to solve it? this is so frustrating.

I Came here to this vid hoping for the same thing. Looks horrid - I want the shaded bars to coincide with my track, if I add a 2 bar break before a drop - I want those two bars shaded
