This is the best instruction video on the internet.Much better than Line6 own videos, which don’t understand that not everyone has a basic knowledge. You should apply for a job with Line6 and they would sell many more products to beginners like me. Please do some more videos,there is a lot I just can’t understand.😃👍🎸🎸

@@vaiisking I'm also currently a Firehawk FX user, but no matter how much I tweak and edit, it never sounds the way I want it to sound. It always a "good enough" sound but never the one I'm going for.

I've had the Headrush. It sounded incredible as far as amp+cab modeling goes, the interface was fantastic as well. I've experimented with it in 4 cable method with my Marshall, and the play feel was amazing compared to my Zoom G5n, completely blew it out of the water. All the dynamics and nuances were perfect. Unfortunately.. all the delays and reverbs sounded very basic and very uninspiring for me. I always go for a heavily modulated Billy Howerdel lead and clean tone, and it was a total miss in that regard. All the chorus/reverbs/delays were not my cup of tea.

Thank you for this. I was pretty overwhelmed when I first got my Helix LT. Just because someone can play guitar/bass doesn't mean they know all the details about making chains, using presets, Snapshots, routing, editing, midi, IRs, etc... In other words the Helix has a bit of a learning curve. I love the creative possibilities but I wish the interface was more beginner friendly/user friendly/easy to use like Headrush has. It would be cool to see you do an update video on your Helix with tips and tricks you've learned over the years.

There's very little in Helix HT 'BASIC' demos for 'straight out of the box' understanding of the layout and simple functions. But this demo video is definitely a step in the right direction for getting started. At least now I've got a basic grasp of things . Why can't Line 6 just stop assuming everyone knows their language and just spell out what all the terminology refers to in idiot proof terms. I'm sure most users just want to be using this unit as a replacement stage pedal-board initially - just dead simple. Then build on that. Thanks - your video helped a lot.

Thanks, this got me started doing my own presets. It's not intuitive that you have to push down on the Preset knob to get to the Preset screen. You see a big knob and think it's supposed to be turned, not that it can also be pushed down on.
@vaiisking
@vaiisking 4 жыл бұрын
I agree it isn’t very intuitive. I’ve heard the newer ones are better.
@ivanthiel6219

You are completely right, but Line 6 brought this knob push down system from his previous multi effect models(e.q. HD500, XT,). So for the new Line 6 users it could be an unforeseen scenario. What I wish they could put on some led illumination underneath the edit buttons and knobs so these can be easy identified in dark situations. Or maybe ad some entrance password utility to prevent unwanted users to own your device in case of lost of theft.Bluetooth functionality would be nice, so mobil devices could be used for the on the go users. Obviously the price could go up for this full option model but then again maybe not. Hope you are still enjoying your Helix.Stay safe.

Hey man....I am an older dude turning 60 in a few months and picking up guitar again after getting injured 4 years ago. I been playing blues & rock for 45 years but do not want to lug around or play heavy tube amps, Les Pauls, etc anymore and going digital floorboard into PA. Just bought a lightweight headless guitar and getting a new Line 6 LT or used Helix 6 his week. I just can't decide because both are same price. What would you recommend? Also, out of curiosity would you be open for a Zoom if I need help with some advanced stuff. Of course I would pay you for your time and venmo you prior to call. Unfortunately or I should say fortunately I am getting shoulder surgery in 10 days so will not have a guitar in my hands but still want to go over a programming and some other stuff I may find too confusing after watching all the videos on YT and prefer to have a pro available to assist . Just reaching out to a few people on YT who have an easy style of explaining things. And thanks again for taking time to make this video. It humbles me when people take time to do this 🙏

I definitely recommend the LT because it is so versatile and light weight (in fact I use it as my main rig now) I really wish I had time to do the personal assistance thing with you, but I just don't have the extra time bro. Good luck with your search and thanks for the compliment.

Thanks very much for the easy explanation. I literally just bought my helix yesterday. I commented on another guitarist youtuber's helix video and asked a simple question. He responded with "the answer is in the video"... which has half hour long btw. I guess he's just a dick, idk. If I could ask, what is the second line below the guitar chain? Is that just for more blocks or is that like a 2nd channel? Thanks again.
@vaiisking
@vaiisking 2 жыл бұрын
Yes it’s a second path for the dual DSP. If you want, you can link the top to the bottom (which I think it does automatically if you keep adding effects) but if your chain is simple, you don’t need it. Each DSP can handle only a certain amount of processing so they basically have em stacked ;)
