Hello Melissa, I wanted you to advice me on how to layer glycolic acid, alpha arbutin and azelaic acid together or if I should even use the three together. Thank you
@MelissaVanDijkOfficial
@MelissaVanDijkOfficial 8 ай бұрын
You may be able to use all three of them in the same routine, but this also depends on your skin's tolerance. Therefore, in the beginning, I recommend using Glycolic Acid and Azelaic Acid in separate routines. If your skin tolerates them well, you may then be able to use them together. Alpha Arbutin can be used in conjunction with both of them. See here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hKtjnZZ9tcnFd3k.htmlsi=KIqNQ4Q-1WwRVFli and kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fdWVfdlpuNLXnZs.htmlsi=L9kvj6XMNVDqFhL1

Hi Melissa, just to make sure.. I am using face reality products. For the order of events, 1. Ultra gentle cleanser, 2. Hydrabalance 3. Clearderma 4. Alphabutin 5. Azeleic Acid 6. Sunscreen (I skipped using my mandelic serum). That’s my AM routine. For PM: 1. Ultra gentle cleanser 2. Hydrabalance 3. Acne Med 5% 4. Sulfur spot treatment. How do I incorporate Alphabutin and Azeleic Acid for my PM routine?? I look forward to your response! 💛 Also, thank you for sharing :))

Hello Elaine, Maybe like this: For PM: 1. Ultra gentle cleanser 2. Hydrabalance 3. Alpha Arbutin 4. Acne Med 5% 5. Sulfur spot treatment. 6. Azelaic Acid However, that's a lot. Personally, I would create 2 PM routines. One with the products you already have and the other with Alpha Arbutin and Azelaic Acid. So that you won't come across any issues when layering them. 😉

The Ordinary has no acne treatments. But they do have a lot of products that can help with dark spots. For acne treatment, I recommend using a Benzoyl Peroxide face wash. (CeraVe, Differin or Panoxyl) You can use The Ordinary Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% or even a retinol 0,2 or 0,5% for dark spots. But the retinol formulations tend to be a bit oily on the skin, so I recommend using Paula's Choice Retinol instead. :)

Does it still happen when using them separate? Niacinamide in the AM and Lactic Acid in the PM..if not, it's best to keep them separate😊 You may reacted to the combination of those two or because Lactic Acid 10% may be too strong for your skin and that's why you feel a burning/stinging...

@@JustBree Well, acne cream is mostly used on its own, or combined with a moisturizer since it can cause skin irritation. So, in this case, it may be best to only stick to the cream and moisturizer. But to get the best advice, I recommend asking a physician.

Hello Brooke, Technically they are all water-based, and according to The Ordinary, it does not matter. But generally, it is recommended to start with the exfoliant first and layer the rest on top. The idea is to loosen the dead skin cells so that the products that follow can penetrate better into the skin. The Ordinary For Beginners: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ms-Rf7mcxKvXeWg.html

And also have pores on my face. so I’m going to use these things for reduce those dark area, black head white heads etc.. So this will be good for that dear? Can you please tell me ? ❤️🙏 Or shall i use •COSRX Salicylic acid daily gentle cleanser •COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence • COSRX Advanced Snail 92 All in one Cream 100ml * COSRX Aloe Soothing Sun Cream SPF50+/ PA+++ Please help

For blackhead extraction, topical products usually aren't very effective. For other skin issues, the effectiveness of treatments depends on the cause of the pigmentation and whether it's close to the skin's surface. However, a combination of Alpha Arbutin and Azelaic Acid is often the right approach! You can still use COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence for hydration before applying these products. Here's the routine: Clean your face. Pat it dry. Apply Snail Mucin. Apply Alpha Arbutin. Apply Azelaic Acid. Use SPF during daytime.

@MelissaVanDijkOfficial
@MelissaVanDijkOfficial 2 жыл бұрын
You can, but it's probably not layering well. So my advice would be to create 2 routines. AM: Cleanser (suitable for your skin type!) Alpha Arbutin Azelaic Acid Suspensionion (SPF if exposed to the sun! Make sure to find one suitable for acne-prone skin that feels comfortable when using it. It is vital since it can help fade the dark spots much faster! If you stay mainly inside or aren't really exposed to direct sunlight, it does not matter much) PM: Cleanser (suitable for your skin type!) Salicylic Acid Niaicnamide It will help, yes. But to what extent depends on your acne. If it is severe, you likely need something that is much stronger, but since you already have the products, my recommendation would be to try it first for several weeks to see how effective it will be, and of course, constantly adjust it based on your needs.
