How to use the sleeve hoop Mighty Hoop

10 ай бұрынI've had these hoops for a while now and have been getting questions on how they work and how to use them. I have found that because of the limited movability when the hoop in on a tight garment the only way to truly embroider all parts of sleeves is to cut the seem open. In this video I demonstrate how I do it using the mighty hoop sleeve hoop by midwest products. Affiliate link below for if you are intersted in getting one. Nice embroidery design, it came out beautifully. I use the 9x5 and 9x3 mighty hoop for sleeves, and I enter the hoop from the hoodie neck down. also use the sleeve fixture.

Depending on the garment you can only go bus so far down the sleeve. You embroidery machine’s arm will knock off the registration and ruin the design.

I just bought my Ricoma 1501 And I came across this video. It put a smile on my face seeing that you were doing a lincoln University sweatshirt. I happen to be awake. I that went to Lincoln. For my freshman year in college. Lincoln will always hold a special place in my heart. I played baseball and basketball for Lincoln univ. Hours of the air wind, Cyrus Jones was the athletic director. And Bobby Byers was my basketball coach. I will always love What Lincoln U. did for me By Allowing me to go to school when my grades in high school weren't the best. I went to Coatesville HS in PA. Did you go to Lincoln? Well enough for the babbling, I really enjoyed your video and I can't wait to get my machine and you are right, in this video, the more skills you collect in your lifetime. I actually went to Cheyney. A lot of my friends went to Lincoln. I didn’t go with the Ricoma dtf because it can’t fit in my door. It’s too wide.

I just got my 4.5x13 with the back holder and then i realized i needed the hooping station for it so i ordered that. Now I'm waiting on that holding station. Been a good while since i stitched on my Melco Emt 16x, lol time to get back up and running again.

Yes. Having the holder helps a great deal. Makes things so much easier.

when I do a sleeve I use the fast frame. I never have to open the sleeve :)

Unfortunately you can’t embroider from elbow to shoulder with a fast frame. You can’t do Ben go from forearm to shoulder. To embroider from top to bottom you have to open up the sleeve.

I have the sleeve hoop, I never rip the sleeve open. I can embroider all the way down to the cuff with the sleeve hoop. You need to insert on the machine through the neck.

Great video, thank you!! My next machine will be the MT1501 to add to my collection of machines. I have the EM1010 and my little 4 needle work horse Janome mb4. Does your sewing machine automatically do the back stitching when starting and ending? Have a great weekend!!

good question. When I tested it out on the stabilizer i hit the back stitch button and it didn’t do it. I’m thinking perhaps that stitch has it because when i pulled in the edge it did not unravel. But to answer your question idk. I tried but the machine did not do anything. It definitely works for straight and zigzag stitches though. Idk why it didn’t work for this one.

@@adubbproductions I have a juki tl2010q sewing machine and I have to manually back stitch when starting and ending. If your unsure you might just want to put that sleeve back under your sewing machine for safe measures and repeat it because if the stitches are not locked it will come apart with the first washing. I have been sewing for over 20 years and when I first started I made the mistake of not checking and thank god the shirt was mine, when I washed it, it all unraveled. I just want to save you the headache of something happening to that beautifully stitched shirt..

Is this the biggest hoop you can manage to work on sleeves? I can 3D print one but am not quite sure it would fit perfectly, would love to hear back

Yes. That’s the biggest one. Anything bigger wouldn’t work.

@@hiluluktensai9392 No. Hoopmaster has a patent on their mighty hoops and you would get sued if you tried and besides personally, it would be a waste of my time making something that already exists. I’d rather work on solving a problem that no one has solved yet. They already got this issue solved. Their hoops work great.

@@adubbproductions look brother, I get you but I'd do anything for my homie since he's struggling with this issue with his mt1501, it's not like am going to sell them, and I won't lie they cost a lot, the machine itself was like 6k, what I'm meaning to ask and understand is: will it work on a bigger area, if I wanted to embroider FULLY a whole sleeve this hoop won't make it happen, will it work if i design something like the sash hoop but less in width, at the end i appreciate you help man, you're my inspiration to work on the Mt 1501 frfr

I would advise you not to do anything for your homie because you could end up under litigation, in jail or worse. I don’t do anything for anyone but my kid and Mother. The only way you can embroider kn the entire sleeve is to rip the seams out of the garment. Hoop it flat. Embroider they sew it back together. Hope that helps. Good luck.

It depends on if the customer wants bulk or if they want just one. If they want bulk I’ll include digitizing and just charge based on how many pieces they want. If they want just one I charge them for digitizing as well as producing the one item. It’s all based on the item. The particular one I made to have in my shop to sell to members of this organization. I sell this one for $65 each
