This stuff is great I use it to make all kinds of parts. Can you tell me how to get a smooth finish on the outside? What is the best way to work it when it has set? Thanks
@FeltLikeHome6 жыл бұрын
Hi ivrz, I usually use it to fix things so not really concern about smooth surface the only way I've tried was to use a piece of baking paper and place the melted thermoplastic in between then mold it to shape so the finishing is a bit smoother... Have to work fast though as it sets pretty quickly... I've asked opinion from my friend who sculpt her cosplay items with it and she suggested that it is best to use dremel tools to sand it down after it has set. Sand paper could do also but it's very hard... :) Hope this helps ;)

I'm sorry, I never use it for fixing tooth so I really can't advice on it. hello !! just a question can you put them directly to your teeth? thank you!
@FeltLikeHome Жыл бұрын
Hi, I know some people who use it to fill up holes in teeth but you will have problem taking it back out though. I personally still recommend going to a dentist for a safer fix.

I got two bags of those and they don't work they don't hardened I'm stock with them how can I return them
@FeltLikeHome5 ай бұрын
Do contact your seller and make sure it's the correct material. If its thermoplastic it should harden as it cools.

Apologies, I personally do not use these for dental. Would suggest you search for those who have experience on this specific usage. Just be ware of chocking hazard...

I wanted to ask, when applying them to teeth, do they just stick back on after cooled, or do you need to melt them again?
@FeltLikeHome2 ай бұрын
Apologies, I personally do not use it for dental.
@Supernovaartistry2 ай бұрын
@FeltLikeHome that's alright. It does just pop on. As long as it was properly applied originally, I learned with trial and error.

Is it safe to use for daily purpose and how long will it stay on gums??
@FeltLikeHome6 ай бұрын
The material itself is non toxic but I personally don't use it for dental due to choking hazard concern and I've seen many asking how to get it out after which raise concern for future issues.

How long should it sit a proximally
@FeltLikeHome5 жыл бұрын
Usually it takes less than a minute to melt and after I've molded it I'd throw it into ice water for about a min to set... it depends on how big the final item... if it's used to fix things and unable to be put into cold water usually I'd let it sit for an hour or so till it fully cool and hardens...
@Balisticmouse2 жыл бұрын
How long do you leave them in the water for
@FeltLikeHome2 жыл бұрын
Usually it will melt in less than 1 minute in water over 80 degree hot. You can take it out with a skewer once it has melted.

so if you drink a cup hot tea and the temtooth can back softed again? 😲😲
@FeltLikeHome4 жыл бұрын
hmm... it needs water at near boiling point to melt so I don't think we can put such high temperature liquid in our mouth. Our mouth and tongue would've gotten burnt horribly before this melts...
@FeltLikeHome4 жыл бұрын
but then again... I personally wouldn't recommend this for permanent dental fixture... it's still better to get a professional dentist to do it.
