I bought a kit I believe from this company to make upper partials. one on the left side and two on the right next to each other. First time making them.The one on the left took 4 hours and the ones on the right took about 3 hours. The more of these you make the faster you'll get at it. Next time it should take only about an hour each. I had to file the sides of the teeth down some for the teeth I ordered them too big. Also I'm an artist and do sculpting. Yes VERY HAPPY WITH HOW THEY TURNED OUT! Not perfect but very good. If I was talking to someone they wouldn't be able to tell. And even I told them they might not be able to tell. The way I see it I just saved myself about $1000.00 at $300.00 a partial. Plus I can make them the rest of my life.😁

@@georgeroman165 Yes I can. I don't like to, but it has nothing to do with the denture itself but myself trying to get used to it. I went to my sister's for dinner a couple weeks ago and was forced to eat with my partial because I didn't wanna just pull it out with everyone there and it did fine. Now I probably wouldn't want to bite into an apple or hard candy, but it does fine with most other foods. Again it's just a matter of myself trying to get used to eating with it.

I completely understand where you are coming from. Mine were all pulled in February. So I can either save money and get dentures from A dentist eventually. Or I can buy this kit. Make them myself and if the bite. Is off it will cause more complications down the road. As long as you understand the risks. You comfortable with the decision. Feel free to try it. I just am not as brave as you are.

@@angelaschaefer5883 I actually bought a 3d acrylic printer. Turns out the dentures are pretty simple... I got a set of the $600 temp dentures and they would be so simple to make. Acrylic is pretty durable. I'm sure that it is some basic fit thing then you use a dremel to finish the fit. I have a pair from a dentist i just bought (temps). After my insurance... professional ones from the people that pulled all my teeth (top and bottom)... takes 4 months to 5 months to heal and after my insurance they are $1600 for top and $1600 for bottom. so 3200 bucks for the pro ones. No way! they warranty them for a year. screw that!

I bought the kit and i'm currently at the stage of the first mould and it went well... Very much taking my time to make sure.I don't have to buy another kit.Because I screwed something up and it is not as easy as it looks.You have to have some kind of crafting abilities.

I just got my kit in the mail yesterday, I’ve done my molds and plaster and I’m going to start the gums and teeth today. I’m 36 now and I lost my teeth 3 years ago due to a severe oral staph infection caused by a tiny cut in the roof of my mouth from a god damn crab leg shell. It almost killed me I Was in the hospital for a month. I just want to look normal again, my smile was the only thing I was confident about so i got these just to not feel so embarrassed when I have to go out in public. I can’t afford dentures right now because they are wanting 5 grand for each arch. I’d give anything for the snap on dentures but they are 15 grand per arch. I really don’t understand how they expect people to pay so much. I would have to save for years just to get the top arch.. it’s super depressing.

I know this may not be possible but if i were you id look into going to another country that has cheaper dental. Mexico is much cheaper qs well as some places in Europe. You can get a visit visa and pay 500 bucks instead of 5000$. You can get online and see where other Americans have done the same thing. Theres group chats where people tell you what to do. THERE'S ALWAYS A WAY MY FRIEND!! DONT GIVE UP!

I am really sorry. They pulled 6 and and I go back Tuesday for the rest to be pulled. Dentures are the only option and I am determined. To make them work when I get them. It will be awhile. It is hard to lose your teeth. But it will get better for us. It just takes time.

From the dentist extremely pricey. Online full set of already made dentures. For between $350-$400. It would be disaster if I tried making these. I have no artistic talent at all. I think kits like this are great and glad. There are options for all of us poor people. I just will wait year and then buy my dentures. Once I have saved the money.

I bought this and you are CORRECT. They NEVER fully harden once worn for a few hours don't try eating anything more soft foods. They do not fully "melt" but they do soften.

since the pink material can melt in hot water, how is it safe to drink hot coffee with these? is there any way to apply some sort of thermal protection spray-like material?

The water has to be almost boiling hot to soften the pink gum material. I don't think anyone drinks their coffee nearly boiling hot. They recommend the water to be 150 degrees f, but i found that bringing the water to a simmer, then turning off the stove works better.

@@muratahmetgenc6942 Maybe it's getting somewhat soft and it feels loose. Have you tried swishing a little bit of cool water in your mouth to harden the gum material? Do you use an adhesive in the denture? I was thinking an adhesive might help it to not feel so loose. Press the gum parts with your tongue and fingertips to make sure it has a good seal on your gums. I don't know...I'm not a professional denture maker. I just got my teeth yanked out a month ago. I have watched a lot of videos on denture making, fitting, getting a good suction to help them fit better. KZfaq videos have been helpful.

@@angelaschaefer5883 nah. Having to pay thousands of dollars for dentures that are made with no more than about $100 worth of materials is what is insane. I ordered 3D resin printer along with the appropriate resins to create the denture base and the appropriate resin to create the teeth along with all the other tools to create my own all for about $600 total and I will be making my own as soon as I get them. And if they ever break 6months,a year or 2 years down the road, all I'll have to do is purchase the resin for about $80 to make them again. The amount these dentists/denturists charge is ridiculous and should be considered criminal. I've personally talked to dentists and denturists and they told me the prices they pay for the material to make dentures and it made my jaw drop to find out how cheap this stuff is for them compared to how much they charge people. It's crazy.

Because these are not made by dentist. The materials in the kit are not medical grade materials. I haven't used these. But I have bought veneers online. They are something you can wear while. You save for dentures. These are for temporary use only. What I wear on top is veneer. I bought online I can't eat with it in. Because it is not denture. Something to wear so I won't be so embarrassed.

I saw a different video where a lady used this same kit and took the impression of her gums ridge line (old dentures do not be in mouth). Idea is to make final product fit your gums. My first set of dentures, full upper, partial lower, while I was in the Navy. I had 6 upper teeth pulled and 4 lower, and then he split my gums and chiseled bone and sewed the gum closed. put the dentures in that day. and sent me back to my ship. I never had a problem except the pain. Went back on the Base, smoothed out the high spots Wore those for over 25 years and relined once. I think the denture industry has taken a step backward, and also pushing implants to stabilize the denture. And lots of people are having problems with the implant. The teeth were made in Sasabo Japan, on the Naval Base, by a Lt.Commander, Dentist in 1969.@@jannienel1003

I am really happy for you. Mine were pulled in February. So it will be awhile before I get my dentures. Just very grateful to the staff of low income dental clinic. I went to pulled all my badly infected teeth. If I would have waited the infection could spread other places besides just the bone.

Ironically, kit was delayed in delivery. When I finally got it.. Dentist impressions appointment was the following day. When the dentist did it, he used SOOO much approximate ALGINATE that I was literally gagging for air! Not like the kit at all. The pro:s impressions don't compare in quality. I STOPPED using the kit and will wait for my professional set

Acrylic resin. They look like natural teeth, better than my teeth did. I ordered the kit, one size fits all, but my mouth is small so i had to ask for the small teeth.

I can build damn near anything at work. I form cut and mold plastics daily at work. I figure how hard can it be despite not being a true dental tech. If I could just smile or eat the most basic of foods around other people I would be so so happy.

I don’t even know where to start with this comment .. for those that it’s worked for … awesome ! I’m sure it’s helped some people . But please know there’s so many variables in which you just can’t calculate with a “diy denture” example - lower teeth need to be placed over the mandible and lined up with the retromolar pad for biting force , centric occlusion , etc etc . This is ridiculous

@@angelaschaefer5883 I think you can adjust them by placing in hot water to get them a bit pliable before putting them in your mouth to check the bite. They will be adjustable until the pink stuff cools.

EXACTLY. There’s a reason he calls them “souvenir dentures”. They aren’t FDA approved and they could cause harm in many ways. Do you know what’s in the materials? Anything cancer causing? If your bite is off, can it cause injury to your jaw? People need to really think about doing this. You won’t be able to sue if there’s any injury. He’s covered his butt by calling them “souvenir”.

@@chrisohara2325 you are correct by the statement that I do “this” for a living . But I can promise you it has nothing to do with not wanting affordable options for patients . To give you context , I’m an hourly employee so it doesn’t effect me the way you are implying . As corny as it may sound , I truly do have the patients best interest in mind . And unfortunately although this may be a “cheap option “ I just want everyone fully informed that a denture that isn’t fabricated properly can cause long term effects on the patients jaw, bone regression , and many other things . We need to make everyone has access to dentist. At affordable prices if we do that things will get better. Then dentures that I want are $370 for full set from Russell Kline. They are already made in size small. I will have to do soft realign at home. Hopefully they will fit. But I won't have the money to do that for year. I figured since I am not having hard time eating. Without any teeth I just had my teeth pulled three weeks ago. I am eating solid food. Including meat loaf that just fancy face mask. When I go places and take it off to eat and drink. Won't be so bad me doing making my dentures. Is terrible idea. Look online there are more affordable options. Then getting them from dentist.

Try concrete. A russian guy i've seent does his own, with moulds, and it seemed successful. Of course, it wouldn't be profitable for dentists to give away secrets. Teeth are vertical plates to assist in incision, with the back ones providing mastication. I guess the russian figured it out...with concrete!

Basicly the same materiel a dental lab uses. I got my wife dentures from a lab and the sucked . I fixed them over 40 times. I can make these better than that lab if you take your time and know how to adjust them after their made. You can also use a dremel or small sculptin knife to make them comfortable, then reheat and smooth any rough edges

I’ve been clean 12 years but nobody told me that once you get sober decay that was stunted during the years getting high is accelerated when you get sober. My teeth literally crumbled one at a time the saddest and scariest thing ever. And I just used pain pills never meth etc.

Any dentures you get will feel like you can’t speak right and feel time you have a mouthful of crap! But you do get use to it and you will start talking right and eating better as time goes on and you get use to them. That is the way I felt also and it took a some time and it does change your eating habits ! I have to cut my food and put in my mouth to chew but after a home if you have food fitting ones you will be able to chew

There's so much that goes into making dentures. This video does not even show how the upper teeth need to come together perfectly with lower teeth when biting down to ensure proper biting and chewing. Jaw problems can occur in the future if correct adjustments are not made.

It depends on how well someone is able to make them. Some people will get year or more. With being able to wear them. You sound like someone. Who has mouth full of teeth. Who has no idea what is like to be missing either all of your teeth. Or just few missing teeth. If you were in this situation. With no money or dental insurance. It would take you less then ten minutes to order to this kit. This would be after you finished crying yourself to sleep. After another day of the shame and embarrassment. Of missing teeth. Just think everyone on here who is missing teeth. Is just temporary. You get to spend the rest of your life. Being insensitive jack ass.

This product is garbage. That's were mine is, in the trash. Tried making some partials for my mom. Forget about it. I'm sorry, but it is $90 worth of garbage. There are multiple online companies that make quality stuff for reasonable prices. I will use one of these companies and make adjustments myself so I'm not sending them back and forth.
