The QUIET - LOUD function: give her one long pet until she give that short “woot woot” listening sound. Then you can say something nice and quiet or something loud and you should get the variation.

I have this owl and have discovered a few hacks that will hopefully work with yours. When the letter is in its beak, and you were hoping to release it with the happy dance, pet it, until it releases the letter well, moving, are usually Petit about five times, to get the letter out with the happy dance. also, to get the ladder out, there’s another way I do it, hold the head sensor, and when you hear the hoot, keep holding their head sensor, and when it is finished, hooting release, and it will make a happy noise, do this three times, and it will do a happy dance. also, to get it into a bad mood while the letter is not in its mouth, you just have to pet its feathers, the wrong way, with a little bit of force, and then it should work. if you want to get it into a happy mood without petting it for two minutes or more, hold the head for one second then, pet downwards, and she will make a happy noise. Hope all this works, sorry if somethings are not correct, I’m using speech to text as I am visually impaired, and it is very finicky.

Your three videos, plus the official video, have helped me aaalmost understand my Hedwig 😂 I think they each have their individual quirks. I haven’t figured out how to get mine to sound the alarm after I take the letter without her releasing it, or hiss at me afterwards when I pet her. She’s a very forgiving specimen apparently. Also, WHAT front sensors??!! If I didn’t love her I would take her apart just to see if there are sensors at all and whether they’re wired in or not lol. Lucky for her she’s cute and looks very pretty up on her perch after a good combing.

I cant seem to get her to work for me most of the time. Some of the instructions are confusing and take forever to work or actually do anything when you want it to actually work for you. Mine does not even purr.

I noticed in this video that the litter insertion point actually doubles as a feeding sensor this kind of reminded me of another type of companion but I wonder if you can guess what it is and yes this owl does have some of the same features as the one I am thinking about for instant the fact that she goes to sleep when left alone and makes eating sounds and has a purring sound also if part of this comment looks weird it’s because my speech to text is a little bit glitchy but I don’t know if you have noticed that the leather insertion point is also a feeding sensor because yes it causes eating sounds in case you didn’t notice
