I had 2 job interviews to teach 1st graders- both on Zoom. The first one I was interviewed by a older white lady & she loved me & complimented my style over & over. offered me the job on the spot, for a private school. The other job interview was for a public school with three overweight, older, black women & they didn’t smile at me ONCE they didn’t try at all to make me feel welcomed or comfortable. BUT it didn’t surprise me 😆

Yes yes yes to all of this. The jobs I've had with below average women "managing" was the worst. The lying, backstabbing, passive aggressive emails, and nitpicking was too much for me. I WFH now and my boss is male, it's the best thing ever. He literally doesn't care. Also 100% on the grocery store thing. I only shop in wealthy areas and yeah men will look or smile at you there. Ghetto/low class stores ain't it.

Places I receive the best treatment: car dealerships, service area at the dealership, yes i also now work at a dealership in sales and i get the best treatment from men specifically white men. But prior to that Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, Target, I upgraded my Gym membership to a higher quality gym I get better treatment there, also for some odd reason the airport/airplane, I’ve had the best conversations with people when I was traveling, even the rental car area they’ve upgraded my car most times with no charge. Now I’m taking a break from corporate the places i get the worst treatment is when i was in consulting and corporate companies usually by older, miserable women especially the big back ones. Now that I’m in sales i have way more white male & Asian ally’s than i do any other group. Also other women with higher status around my age also complement me, we work well together. This video is so helpful!

Ive gotten complimented amd corted mostly by men older than me or maybe younger. Usually, never guys my age, and they've been of different races, black, white, asian . Also, i think the girls that have complimented me dont really look like me.

could you give advice for when people just dont like you, i've had so many people refuse me services, wont hire me etc just because their jealous that I look good and have it "all figured out" its so tiring constantly being pushed out because of jealousy

I've finally accepted many urban spaces like hookah bars and lounges are just not my people. It never fails the women who attend or work at these places have such bad attitudes with me. I used to think they were that way with everyone but, naw that wasnt the case 😂 now I have fun at the hipster mixed crowd spots. My people 😂
