In this video I show you how easy it is to vinyl wrap an interior trim piece / console to change the look from OEM woodgrain to a sleek brushed metal. The interior piece is from a Chevy Traverse, but this process applies to any interior trim piece. The vinyl used for this project was 3M Brushed Titanium.

I like the wood too. But I just bought a denali and that wood grain is like Green...yuk. so does any one know it the sell either marble or wood grain that's black to replace it. I don't want it a solid color. Thanks all!

What about a bezel from a jag or Benz with small switch holes, some areas of the bezel only have 1/8 of plastic between switches. Do I still attempt to wrap around the edge or straight cut and leave the edge ?

Sorry for the late reply. In that case, I might just wrap over and cut out the holes. I might then use some sort of coloring on the insides of the small holes (black paint, plastidip, or even sharpie LoL!) so the original color doesn't show through when you put the trim back on.

Have you ever done the g35 console and hvac switch area? I’m trying to do that now and all the little button wholes are tuff.

No, I've not done that in particular. Small holes are tough...sometimes, it may be better to just cut them out at the edges and use some sort of coloring on the inside of the hole (like paint or plastidip)

I got my side mirrors carbon fiber vinyl wrapped. Its been over 3 years and the wrap is still as good as new.

Is it removable? How hard to remove?

Yes, I used automotive vinyl wrap, which is designed to be removable. It's fairly easy to remove depending on how long it's been on.

Use an automotive cast vinyl. 651is a calendared craft vinyl mostly intended for decals and flat surfaces, not wrapping in this respect. I’d recommend vinyls like Vvivid XPO and Premium+ series, 3M 2080 (and older 1080) series, and Avery SW900 series of automotive wrapping cast vinyl.

i have a TRADESMAN and broke the bezel when switching out the brick radio for an android carplay. ebay asking 150.00 for a used bezel. i am hoping i can reset the piece i glued back in as it is uneven and the use a carbon looking vinyl wrap.
