I’m flying to London with a 17 hour layover in Shanghai, this will be my first time going on a flight over 2 hours so I’m sort of nervous. Is it easy asking for help from airline/airport staff?

make sure you install a translator on your phone and I think those airport staff will be happy to help you. they are really friendly but most of them dont speak perfect english.

@@johnli7818 it’s fine if they don’t speak perfect English as I’ve worked with a lot of immigrants in my time, I also have a friend from Shanghai that I’ve just remembered so I’ll give him a call to figure some things out if needed.

@@nickharris3040 ha sorry I think perfect english is the wrong choose of word that I use. I should said "you should expect most of them not speaking english at all, you will find some of them speaking little english but if you speak slow and with hand gesture, they prob could understand haha so translator is your best communication tool there" and hopefully you can still enjoy your 17hrs stay in China while transit.

Right now Eleven European countries (France, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Luxembourg, Ireland, Austria, Hungary Netherlands, Belgium and Spain) and Malaysia tourist no need apply China visa to stay in China visa free for 15 days until next year on December 31st,2025 and then will be add more New Zealand tourist come to China visa free soon for 15 days like as Eleven European countries and Malaysia tourist visa free to China.
