Just finished installing this on my 2018 Trek. Got to say, I have very little experience with modifications and this was a breeze. Definitely need to have the tools and a friend or 2 to help. Go for it. Trust me, you won’t regret it.

The kit we received did not have a template, I'm honestly not sure if they do now or not, but it's pretty easy as 90% you follow the bumper line, and then towards the bottom you go off that line and it's really up to you how you do it. I tried as much as possible to keep it tight against the warn bumper, but even if you just go straight down it would still look pretty clean. With everything we are just over 100lbs :) I would have to weigh the stock bumper beam to get an exact number, but if I remember correctly its about 30 lbs. So you can assume you've added about 70lbs to the front end of the car, and you certainly can feel it when driving. It's not bad, but it is noticeable. Thanks, Rick

You do have to move the temp sensor, but they provide the provision for that. And in regards to the license plate, they do have the new mount on the bumper, so you can mount it for sure :) Thanks! Rick

I really like the look of this which is why I was looking into it but having now watched the install process, it does seem to significantly impact the collision absorption structures. The corners are removed completely and it seems there's no longer contact with the beam just to either side of the radiator support panel for example. Airbags are typically sensor activated so they may not be effected but I can't be sure. I think I see enough for me to not go ahead with it.

Currently, no. From what i've heard Warn is making one for the previous generation but I'm not sure when it would be released. And to be honest, I'm not 100% convinced that this would not work on the 15's, but I think i'll take Warn's word for it lol. :) Thanks, Rick

@@rallysportdirect I don't want to be the bearer of bad news and I REALLY hope this is simply due to someone not in the know but I emailed warn and received this reply: (I underlined the bad news) 'Kurt, Thanks for your inquiry . Unfortunately we do not and will not be offering anything for your (2013) Crosstrek . I am not aware of any changes that can be made to make this work on your model. I have attached above the mounting instructions for you to look at.' I also asked if there might be a way to modify the current one to work so I'll be doing some more research to see the major differences between 2013 and 2018 models. Again I really hope the email is just based off unknown information but I'm still pretty bummed about the response.

did you ever happen to get the installation guide? I was just looking at the bolt configuration behind the bumper and it looks like it should bolt right on, and I cant seem to find a reason that this wouldnt fit

Any chance you can go into detail? I tried to install it today and I have no clue wtf to do, the instructions assume you know what to do. I have this thin red wire coming out of the wiring harness and it has a fuse. What does it connect to? It’s just a bare wire.

I'm confused as well. I went on Warn's website but that just confused me more. They have two options for sale: a grill guard and a mounting kit. The guard goes for $300 regularly and the mounting kit for $1080 regularly. I was hoping the video explained it a little more in-depth as well since I don't want to make an order that I ended up not needing after all.

The bumper bar is engineered as part of the zone, has the bull bar also been designed to be compatible and certified as such? What expertise does the maker have in this area?

That's my favorite little snap-on ratchet, it's their 1/4 drive swivel head ratchet.
