Follow this step-by-step process illustrating how to wash a down Jacket with Granger's Down wash and your down jacket will feel like new. First add one cap-full to the detergent drawer of a front loading washing machine. Second, make sure you zip up all zippers on your jacket and wash on a delicate setting with a water temperature close to 86 degrees Fahrenheit. Third, tumble dry on low heat for about an hour or until your garment is dry. Add the dryer balls that come with Granger's down wash kit for the full duration of the drying process. The balls prevent down from clumping as it dries. Lastly, remove your jacket from the dryer and ensure that it has dried completely. Once it's dry, you're all set! It's that easy.

can you wash multiple articles of clothing at a time? Should you straighten out the jacket when you put it in the dryer, or leave it scrunched up? Or it doesn't matter?

clumping occurred since I did not know about the magic dyer balls can I resoak add these and salvage this jacket ??????????

Usually clumping is a result of not drying the down out completely after the down gets wet. It's worth washing it again and drying it out completely with these balls to break up the clumping. Once completely dry, you should be able to restore some of the down's loft.

I have an old washing machine where there is no separate compartment to put separate liquid, everything has to be dump inside the washing machine together while the water runs in. Can I dump the granger liquid at the same time together with the water and the clothes who already inside the washing machine?

Hi I have purchased a down north face jackets and I have had it on over a drunken weekend it has marks where drink has been spilt on it in different areas of the jacket. I still haven't washed it because I messed my last jacket up in the wash so went to shop and changed it to defect that's the excuse I used...lol ....what is the best way to wash this jacket as I don't want to ruin it as it cost me £170. Probably not. You can always pretreat stains with something mild like Woolite.

If you put your jacket in a mesh bag for the wash it should keep it safe from the agitator

Use a tennis ball instead of them slicked balls u can put holes in the jacket with them

very carefully place the jacket in the dryer as to not damage it, then throw three ball on top of it before they spin around bouncing off the jacket harder then you could or even would handle it while loading it in the dryer
