I would suggest, drying the backpack inside the dryer. Hang the backpack along side the dryer door with the strap outside the door. Just like the shoe drying method with laces suspending the shoes on the dryer door.

I’ve had my LL Bean backpack for 3 decades. Never once did I think of washing them. I’m gonna do it tomorrow.

Could you please explain how to wash the boat bags as well? I don't want to risk the fabric bleeding and ruining them (i have several). Thank you in advance for your help! 🥰

We recommend spot clean only on our Boat & Tote bags. For a tough stain, using a toothbrush and some mild detergent (like dishwashing liquid) works really well. Line dry only away from heat.

where can we get the mesh bags? I've washed our backbacks before and the mesh bags look like a great idea to avoid tangling or rubbing on the sides

@@llbean You really should be selling these in store. I specifically bought your backpacks because they were machine washable. I would have gladly purchased the garmet bag from you to wash the bag, at the time of purchase.

Yes, our bookpacks can be washed in a front loading residential washing machine. ^kw

After I've washed my backpack I've always hung it up on a cloths hanger and let dry overnight

Hi Pheara - commercial washers tend to have higher speed spin cycles which could damage the backpack. ^kw
