⁶ Very informative I've always used Vinegar or Bakin Soda to clean fruits Veggies It's important to dry thoroughly to prevent WHT mold from form due to wet fruits, vegs I use a salad spinner. To help remove moisture however paper towel works fine just be gentle & let air dry a bit wash container they came in since it has air holes or baggie w/few holes More info Google FDA how clean Fruts/Veggies

Some people might say, "It's already clean at the store." But have you seen people who sneeze or cough at the super market? Also not everyone washes their hands. :s When my mom did chemo her doctors banned her from fresh produce.
@ArianaMMR4 жыл бұрын
going thru chemo and not eating fresh produce? sounds like a death trap
@teresadavis92834 жыл бұрын
@@ArianaMMR I thought so, too, the first time I heard that, but --especially with bone marrow transplants--there is too much fungus and too many germs that cannot be cleaned COMPLETELY off of fresh produce. So they can only eat canned. Not even frozen.
@ArianaMMR4 жыл бұрын
Teresa Davis that sucks. But all food is like that. Especially meat.
@teresadavis92834 жыл бұрын
@@ArianaMMR Sure. But meat is usually eaten cooked, and cooking is the point. They would not be allowed to eat raw meat, either! Chemo patients are often not allowed to eat produce that has not been cooked/canned. Nor are they allowed to handle it. They may not be allowed to even have plants or flowers in their environment for the same reason! So, ideally, they WOULD eat tons of fruits and veggies freshly plucked from nature--by somebody else, who then cooks it and serves it to them in a sterile environment.
