I have always loved the way my yard looks with all of the flowers I buy. I have a husband that has the green thumb for the both of us. I would kill all of my new stuff until he took over. Thanks for sharing, I will keep in mind to always buy a 12’ hanging basket.💐

We have not tried them yet, but probably will give them a shot. We are always a little concerned with gimmicks, since we are a little old school with proper watering.

I have some physical challenges, is it ok to water a little more so I can water every other day? It’s worked pretty well. I switched to a better soil this year. I love your videos!

We just haven't found any yet that we would recommend. Not that it doesn't work, but sometimes a gimmick for watering just doesn't hold up to tried and true good watering.

I have 2 moss rose hanging baskets and we have a strong S wind and I have to water them 2x a day.

Wow! And those are about the hardiest of them all. Try transplanting them into a larger hanging basket if you can. That gives them more soil to draw moisture from.

I wonder if used diapers could be disposed in such a way. Put them in the bottom of a basket, fill up with soil, add plant, sell the lot

That would be a one size fits all approach which doesn't work for flowers. They need to be watered for whatever the day requires.

why not add a shallow container at the bottom and water till the container is full to the brim

I live in Dallas. Our summers are notoriously brutal. We're already in the mid to upper 90s in mid May right now. I profusely water my hanging sweet potato vines every single morning until water gushes out of the holes in the bottom of the container. I have done so for years, and they are absolutely teeming with explosive growth all season. If I skip a day of this kind of watering, they start to wilt. I think it really depends on what part of the country you live in and how hot it gets. Love, Michael

Gravity will take excess water to ground. If it's hanging and can drain, a soaking will only allow a certain amount to remain in the soil for plants to tap into. Sorry. A hanging basket with holes in is as a bucket with holes in. Fill it and it will drain. I think you're getting to technical. I've never had s problem with soaking, I have with rationing!!
