This video is pure gold! I don't know how many lovely vintage elastic hair bands on tilt hats, doll style hats, that have been utterly ruined by women who in modern days have forced them under the chin, drives me crazy.

SO nice! Wearing hats around the house... something that can be said for a lot of looks. Being comfortable with yourself is always the first step to pulling off a look or idea with others!

We all had our Philip Ian Wright hats on in the edit suite - seemed only right! Glad you like the video. It was a truly fascinating project to work on.

Europeans seem to wear their hats at an angle. Americans seem to wear them straight forward. I enjoy both. If the hat is a fedora, even with the straight look, there are many ways to manipulate the brim. Raise one side higher than the side looks similar to the tilt placement. Thanks sharing & informing.

Thank you so much my father Inlaw brought me a beautiful hat from Mexico and I had no clue how to wear it cause it looked funny on me but thanks to you it looks good on me now😚😚☺️☺️

I'm making my own mini top hat for my wedding, and it will have one side of the brim turned up and pinned with a cameo. Should I wear it with the cameo to the inside of my head or to the outside? It will be sitting just above my right eye. I haven't finished putting the lace decorations on it because the placement depends on how it is worn.

Hi Laurie...From recent mini toppers I have made i would suggest the cameo goes to the right.. just to the right of the right eye....but that does depend on the balance of the lace...if to the left (inside) it may be too central...so to the outside..my sugggestion..Congrats on your wedding and have a fab day

Great video, especialy about the tilted angle and the eyes. Wish I can wear classty fedoras like the olden days, but they require equally classy suits.

Well then you really must. If his hats are good enough for royalty.... but don't panic, you can have the perfect hat that's just you, and even a one-off, for less than what you'd pay at "those hat shops on the high street". Give him a call. You'll have an absolute blast!

I noticed hats look better on me on an angle. My problem is that most hats fit me big. Anybody have any tips on to keep the hat on my head.

Laura Stone I agree I need smaller hats, but the smallest they sell in my area are 22inches and that is huge on me. My Aunt loves hats and she has the same problem. I heard they sell some foam you can put inside the hat. I might try that.

I was always told that the crown of the hat should be straight above the face, if you want a slanting brim buy a hat with one, otherwise it just looks awkward.

Why is it that women can wear a mans hat and in most cases they look more sexy and/or feminine, yet a man can look masculine with the same hat? One case to illustrate this is Indiana Jones in The last Crusade where the leading lady wears Indy's Fedora.
