lately i've been seeing the trend of hoodie with a large light blue denim style casual button up shirt over the outside of the hoodie and ive been wearing my hoodies like that and let me tell you that'll be in by next winter mark my words. looks fly as hell. I have never understood the reason behind layering a hoodie under an overcoat. It doesn't make you look elegant or sophisticated, it just makes you look like someone who doesn't know anything about matching outfits based on the formality. It's only my opinion, anyone can dress however they want.

Almost all of the hoodie examples are hoodies without zippers down the middle. Personally I would avoid that item altogether - I like the ones that have the zipper down the middle as you can hide a graphic tee underneath or wear a jacket over it and keep both unzipped.
