Speaking in both English and Welsh, the family demonstrates their commands and whistles to guide the dogs in herding the fields. By sharing their techniques with the youngest generation, they hope to continue their pastoral way of life for centuries to come.

Generations of Welsh farmers have kept up this tradition of working closely with sheepdogs. Which English or Welsh command was your favorite?

It would've more awesome If they show us a Sheepdog that actually follows their instruction, instead of zooming up their faces repeatedly.

I'm reasonably sure this is a snippet from a longer doc that actually showed the dogs herding sheep in a rugged, nearly vertical landscape and responding to whistle commands. I came here looking for the video to show my sister, who recently adopted a border collie.

Sad that unfortunately you have to put a disclaimer because the guy calls the female dog by the correct name, and some people will get upset about it.

I want to see 100% proof that these dogs obey these whistle signals. Because I have a strong suspicion it is all baloney. Their dogs do it anyway and they whistle to make it look like they're in control.
