Not sure if this was mentioned but , for yb luffy. You don’t establish the Kuzan and wait next turn to establish egghead luffy. Your setup before 10 Don is to establish egghead luffy and then a sabo so it’s unkoable pass turn then play Kuzan at this point you can swing with egghead luffy as well as kill anything 5 cost below with Kuzan and then sac the luffy to kill another unit on the board

I've been using the decklist below for BY Luffy, and I've had a much better success rate against Bonney with it. Matches have been closer to 50/50. It kind of ensures you can remove all the big threats really easily. I've been experimenting with swapping out ratios of 10c Kuzan and 8c Sabo (1:3 and 2:2) and I like both versions. Leaning more toward the 1:3 ratio. Anyway, you don't play it like the typical BY Luffy. Play it slow. Don't take your own life with Flampe unless you're needing the cards, and expect people to not really hit you because they don't want you to start your leader ability. Go into the late game, establish big bodies while wiping their board and using Perona to slowly whittle down their hand. It's one card trashed from hand, but hey, it's something. Prioritize killing Uroge, and Cavendish. It'll force that awkward curve if they want to use their leader ability. Sometimes not swinging and leaving character up for the next turn can help to stall for late game, especially if they don't want to take your life. Lastly use your leader ability to close out games. Let them take that last life from you and start your leaders engine. Ends things pretty quickly after that. You can also use it to just cushion yourself if you need more time. as a bonney player you absolutely need ice age and 4c kuzan for it to even be somewhat close. otherwise i hard mulligan for zoro, 8c rosinante for board spam(in my deck version), 10c doffy, or searchers. if i have any of those in my starting hand and you dont have an answer (ice age + rocket luffy) then it is very hard to come back. the way i have lost to by luffy before is by dropping a zoro, it getting killed by ice age and rocket luffy, and them proceeding to moria + leader cycle life and sabos for long enough until i run out of gas. it isnt impossible if you go into it with the right tools, i would say with an optimized deck it would be about 65/35 or even 60/40, but it definitely isnt favored

You can kill Hawkins with Law ability easy, you just need to attack with everything! If you have no aktiv charakter, he can't use his effect!

Wanted to say that brook is great to see in hand as Lucci. Can get a small body early on play and if you have stage or another small cost reducer can pop urouge as well on attack

i play by luffy its tough. You need to get tempo then when u gecko only play 1 kid and keep 1 kid in life, 2 sabos is useless on board cuz they get hodyd. Keep 1 sabo on board and one 5c in life. Gecko can bring back kuzan 5c and one kid each turn to 7k lead and basically never swing until u get a board that is sabo gecko and 3 5c 8k luffys then start swinging. You can basically keep him at 4 life the whole game (you might take 1 life in ur second/third turn but after that you cant really swing). Also play kuzan 4c on curve and jus keep tht on board active, its a big threat to any big guy they play because they will be scared of kuzan swing, reduce cost and then drop 5c luffy and pop anything. So yeah just never swing, build board if 5c 8k luffys and geckos, use rocket luffy to clear stuff, play 4c kuzan on curve and keep him on board, once u do tht u stop swinging until u wanna swing with kuzan to lower cost, play ur sabos last so there active, cycle geckos taking only 1 kid and 1 kuzan leaving 1 life, and pray they brick

If you wanted to pop the kid instead of attacking big into it: play tsuru -2, attack with leader -1(they rest a gecko), play 3rd gecko, play helmeppo from trash -3, play lucci from trash pop kid & bonney. swing 10 to life with unrested gecko.

There was a more efficient way to get rid of the two urouge. You have the lucci in trash from earlier. You could have played the helmeppo for 2 the moria back the lucci in trash and the helmeppo that you just milled to put the urouges to 1 and 0 and KO both with Lucci.

I think against bonnie u dont need to go so fast on 0 live . U should try instead protect ur live a bit. So u play egghead luffy before enemies zorro turn then after the enemy plays zorro u need to play kuzan. And for that u need to be healthy

Really need help in the matchup as a Whitebeard player. Not sure if I need to adjust my playstyle into the matchup or make decklist changes...Have tried 9c Newgates, cutting the Newgates for Dragons, playing only rushers into them, playing big vanillas into them...not giving up on the old man but would love some help if anyone has any insight!

What’s the ruling with rosinante vs lucci? If they target my rosinante and another character can I use my rosinante to protect the other target and essentially negate the lucci?

Watching your video, you turn 1 flampe, thats kinda bad. Save it for when u are going to get urself to zero life, let him swing u down. Putting yourself at 3 that early against bonney can get dangerous and make it so u dont make it to late game. I think the 7 don turn is when you lost the match, the makino and force to zero is kinda rushing urself down. between the makino and the flampe u used 2 of ur 2k counters really early. On that turn instead I would have 5c egg head luffy pop a blocker draw 1, and then use the two brohters bond and add 2 more cards, then swing with 6c luffy and he would rest your leader. Leaving yourself at 2 life. This is a big mistake i see a ton of by players do, is just rushing themself to zero life to fast. Basil is another reason why you dont wanna jus play your flampes and makinos, if he would be kod he can rest them instead, but if you have no characters that are active you can ko him, something like swing at leader wit kuzan and reduve basil cost and rest him and then drop 5c egg luffy would be good. You ddidnt have ice age or kuzan on board to do this but jus an example as to why playing those 2k blcokers is kinda bad. Your 9 don turn was ok but deploy the baby luffy first and see what you draw before using 3 brothers bond. worked out anyways. Definitely didnt need to take a third egg head luffy, u cycle the 2 u have anyways, take the baby sabos,. You need babys in hand late game to keep ur leader at 9k. I wouldnt have swung there cuz he can rest ur sabo and he did. Noow before even seeing his next turn you feel like ur in big trouble, no blockers. Ok now here comes the trouble, 9c zoro. At this point u need to do whatever you can to draw into ice age. use 5c luffy to draw a card by sending your life or play 2 cost kid luffy to play other luffy, send him to trash and draw a card, sabo and draw 2 pitch 2. The ivankov stuff you ddi was really bad, hes just going to get rid of everything. Your only hope here is to dig for ice age because you didnt play a 4c kuzan on curve and have it active. Basically its over now but you could have drawn 6 cards this turn and really dug through your deck. Okay never mind this bonney player is kinda dumb idk why he only swung once with zoro instead of 3 times. Im confused they could have put way more pressure. He doesnt know what hes doing lol Somehow you survived, here what you did was fine, simple gecko play. Okay this was like your worst turn, you had a great chance to put some serious pressure here, swing with gecko 9k, and then he would rest leader, then swing with 8k luffy drawing one when u trask life, u wanna get rid of his 8k dude. then now your luffy is rested and u drew one and u got some value in for it cuz u swung you play gecko on top of it then u can replace it, realistically he would have blocked with 3k blcoker but then you jus gecko again into 2 luffys play egg head then put 2 5c and play the other luffy with the other kid or recycle a sabo. BY Luffy is one of the hardest decks to play properly and has a million micro decisions on the way to your 10 don turns where it becomes a little more linear. But you wanna have 10-15 cards in your hand at end game for sure and no need to rush, you see enough geckos you will out resource them.

I'm sorry, although the overall strategy part was good, the games and the Bonney player were so bad... I know they are just examples but that guy made so many mistakes that I can't even take the games seriously lol. Not attacking with hawkins is the most stupid thing you can do, it's a 7k swing, you should be attacking with him most of the time, not to mention prioritising developing him as a blocker instead of other 2 blockers leaving don up specially against RP Law... That was so bad to watch... Sorry, just wanted to point that out because that brings the overall quality of the video too low.
