Thanks. Great explanation. I bought a dual 2 ohm voice coil subwoofer from Stereo Integrity and was trying to figure how to wire it up as 2 ohm. I guess I have to run 4 ohm in this case.

Yes if it is a dual 2 ohm your wire options are 1ohm or 4 ohm I'm glad I was able to shine some light on your question💯💯

Very very helpful just got a scar evl 12 d2 and I was running both coils strait to both ports on the amp I have a 2k rms scar mono block amp and it’s confusing me on if that could give me 2 ohm or not if u have any feed back lmk!!!!

Excellent video helped so much a lot! My amp is an oldschool PPI PC4800 4 channel to which I plan to run it bridged giving me 400x2 @4ohm. Going to run a pair of Rockford Fosgate P2D2 12's in series to get 4 ohm at amp.

I'm confused I've heard that a 2ohm dual voice coil can only be wired, 0.5 ohm, 2ohm, or 8 ohms, is this true? I'm wanting to get a 1 ohm load.

Cant you take two dual 2 ohm subs and wire them parallel-series? That would drop the load back down to 2 ohms. Youd run jumpers from + to - on both subs then + to + from one to the other and - to - from one to the other and run your line out from those two. The jumpers from + to - will make the subs 4ohms each until you run + to + and - to - then it drops back down to 2ohms. Am I understanding that right?

So I have two 2 ohm dual vc subs and did what you mentioned and turned them into 1 ohm in which I successfully did and they individually tested at one ohm. But as soon as I hooked them up to the monoblock they tested at .07 at the amp. I'm guessing this is because the two positives and the negatives at the amp are connected. Would this mean that I have to disconnect the jumpers at the speakers considering this

wire it most efficiently 2ohms more efficient Lee's strain and control amp plus box control the sub 1ohm if u got the electrical

hey, I've been looking at your videos and I'm trying to wire an amp to my 2002 Cavalier but the battery terminal is different from every video I've seen and I'm not sure how to properly wire it without damaging the rubber around the terminal, if you could give some advice that would be fantastic. Hey did you figure it out? I just bought online a 2ohm sub and a 2ohm amplifier. Sub 1,500 watt RMS Power 750watts Amp 2 ohms: 1200 watts x 1 chan. Im unsure of it and don't want to mess it up

@@silver831cali3 i connected the parallel connection unfortunately it was shutting my amplifier off.... Then i used the one wire connecting red to black from other side to the other.... Then the remaining red and black i connected the wire to amplifier.... Its been 7 days now my amp is not going to protection mode...sounds better

If you want 1 ohm at the amp you need dual 4 ohm subs to wire together or 1 2 channel amp that is 1 ohm stable and wire each sub individually

you are going to be running less power at 4ohm

Nothing happens to the power handling of the sub, but the amplifier will provide a different amount of power from 2 ohms and 4 ohms

I ordered 8ga wire and ordered 8ga banana push terminals for the sub and the box. Seems to hold up fairly well.

Easy answer would be just that 1 ohm will give you more power than wiring to 4 ohms because the resistance is lower, but amp will not run as efficient as 1ohm vs 4ohm

As makes no sense when they selling it and say 4 ohm with 2 conection when is real life 2 ohm when u conect
