Yea that’s 4 ohm. If it’s a dual 2ohm it will drop down to 1. That’s for a single sub though. That’s what I did to both of mine. I got a 2 channel amp though. So I just wire them both down to 1 ohm.

Everybody keeps saying he is doing it wrong. I don’t know why? 1 sub 2 ohm dvc yes you can drop it to 1 ohm as long as the amp is stable at 1 ohm If it were two subs this would final at .5 or 2 ohm considering the two different ways of wiring those subs but he is only wiring 1 sub not 2 so he is 100% correct calm down people do your homework first. Before bashing someone for doing the right thing. This will sound crazy but I have run 2 ohm stable amps at 1ohm and didn’t blow it. I wouldn’t recommend doing this most amps can’t do it but some are capable good ones anyways.

Single d4 goes to 2ohms single d2 goes to 1ohm 2 d4s go down to 1 ohm

Well since this is a d4 sub wiring in parallel will get u 2 ohm u need another sub like this to be at 1 ohm or get 1 d2 sub nice try tho.

Wrong!! You first have to know what the ohm rating of the sub from factory. If that sub is stable at 1 ohm on both coil that will be wiring down to .5 ohms. And you'll fry your amp!!

Also wrong first of all it’s the amp that needs to be “1 ohm stable” not the sub and second you’re not going to fry a 1ohm stable amp with a sub wired to .5 ohms after box rise

i’m running a ab monoblock 2ohm stable amp to some DVC 4ohm 2 10kickers and they’re hitting i just want to know if it’s okay or not it does get hot if i run it for like 3 hours continuously and goes into protect mode so i try not to run them that long like i can go back and forth to work or to my friends house and they are fine but if i run them for hours my amp gets hot and shuts down just need some advice
