Have you ever had to bore the left end to open the I.D? I'm wanting to install some heated grips but I found out my Burly Beach Bars won't receive my left heated grip due to the smaller I.D.

...hello, very good. I have a question regarding drilling: are those handlebars made from SS? because I do not see any chips if that are chromed... I have a chromed one so I am thinking to use a tape to prevent a bit but I think that the edges of the holes will be rusted in no time... Thanks

Hi TheReverb, if you want to use some tape on the bars that would be fine and help protect the overall finish of the bars throughout the entire process (pulling the wires through the bars can sometimes be a real pain depending on the inside diameter, bends of the bars, and how many wires you are pulling through...so you might find yourself twisting/pulling/ and bracing the bars from all different angles to snake the wires through...so yeah if you are worried about the finish taping them off at the beginning would be good). As for the rust, you shouldn't have much of an issue, but if you are concerned once you have the holes all smoothed out you could properly prep the area(s) and then add a dab of clear. Hope that helps.
