Thank you for this simple and fun explanation

When using an egg roller egg turner you will not have a limit switch (SQ1, SQ2), as you would with an Up/down or Left/Right tilting rack turning system. For a 2 wire synchronous 2.5-3rpm egg rolling or tray rail tilting motor, you can select either Left or Right (R9 or R10) for the hot from the relay and address the timing in the controller programming (noting that the Zilytech unit will only turn one way for a limited amount of time per daily cycle based on the factory programming). You could wire both Left and right to the IN (hot) wire of your motor if you want to alternate the direction of the rolling, but may run a risk of back feeding either relay (R9 when R10 is live for example), and you would want to put a 110v+ 4A+ (as your motor is rated) in one leg of the R9 + R10 hot pair (before the motor IN) so if the controller malfunctions and feeds both legs, you won't have 220v going to the 110v motor.(US). Or you could mount a micro roller limit switch on either end of an egg slider tray rack (only one Lt/Rt pair is necessary if you have multiple slider trays in a larger incubator, which will control the rotation direction of all other trays if connected in parallel. Or finally, bypass the egg turning option of the controller and get an external short period controller such as the digital BnLink or the few analog dial versions that would control power to all roller trays plugged into the out and you can dial in the exact amount of time it takes your roller or slider tray based turner to turn the egg 180°, or even 1 complete roll and a half, just for posterity sake.

Your videos are so excellent! I would not have been able to figure out how to use this if not for you, so thank you very much! I am in the US. I have the Lilytech ZL-7901A, 100~240VAC. I wish to purchase a solid state relay to use the PID control. I saw on your site that you listed different types of SSR for the XM72 controller but not for this one. I am sorry to ask such simple questions, but I have no electrical knowledge and no one to ask. I am using a 150W constant temperature PTC electric heater mounted to a fan. The heater can work on 110V or 12V. I currently have it connected to 110V. Can 12V appliances be connected directly, or do they have to be connected to a transformer first? I have a 12V mister and I connected wires to the transformer plug ends. I would really appreciate if you would tell me if I should use the SSR-40AA or the SSR-40DA. Thank you so much!!!

@@mykitvideos5937 Actually, my use for the controller is for cigars' humidors, and almost every device I have to keep up with humidity and temperature are 12V.

Can i contact 12v heater and humidifier on this controller !?
@SybilDefense2 жыл бұрын
You will need a 110v to 12v transformer ("wall wart") and wire controller to a 110v outlet. Plug your 12v transformer into the outlet (or a power strip)

The US version (110v) is rated for 110v - 220v. Therefore a fuse (ex 130v 8A) to protect your controller is not as essential for nominal power variations (uncommon in US) but would help in case of lightening strike voltage spike (anywhere along the power line that feeds your home or business electric service), so not a bad Idea. Perhaps a better solution is to use a battery backup power brick to plug your incubator into, which can provide power fir short term and an alarm if the electric power goes off, along you to manually switch over to a solar/inverter or generator power source. Plan for the worse case and you will be happy you were that smart!
